CRUISE ON THE NILE FROM 28/12/98 TO 04/01/99
ISIS MOTORBOAT QUEEN OF TRAVEL WITH TURQUOISE
DEPARTURE FROM BOLOGNA at 13:30 ARRIVAL IN Luxor 19.00
It 'really true that we need to write travel just falls otherwise the memory is lost, despite the photo is difficult to reconstruct the stages done (especially if you write on the photo little or nothing)!
Surely what memory of this cruise were the levatacce early morning to get to places not to find crowds of tourists. It 'been a wonderful experience, although I regret not having studied a little' more before leaving the fascinating history of this magical land.

ITINERARY:
Day 2-Luxor Edfu
Visit to the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and colossi of Memnon.
Sailing to Edfu
The Valley of the Kings and Queens was a 'disappointing perhaps because the name I mentioned something pompous, but I found myself in the midst of the earth and stones ..... I have visited more than a few also the tomb of Nefertari, upon payment of an extra ticket and the famous Tutankhamen, bè not believe it but once out I felt unwell and in the evening I had a fever to 38 (maybe because I did a photo stealth and the curse struck again?! )
Then we continued to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and walk in the valley to reach the temple has made me so sad thinking about how many tourists had been killed years earlier than their long road. We were spontaneous look around, the mountains close to the fear in the hearts of seeing some sniper tick .....

Day 3 Edfu-Aswan
Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu. Browse by Aswan.

4th day Aswan
Visit the Aswan dam, all'obelisco unfinished and the Temple of Philae. Excursion in botanical Feluca the island.
On the island of Philae, reconstructed 300 meters. further north of its original site, to steal its monuments to the waters of Lake Nasser, stands the splendid temple ISI and the small temple of Hathor, I put the 2nd place for its beauty in my list, especially then I decided to do the night tour called "Sounds and Light" and was really exciting to be sitting between those walls with the play of light and a voice told you the story of this temple. This show I recommend it warmly.

5th day Aswan
Aswan is the most important city of Upper Egypt, a great commercial center since ancient times is not particularly rich in antiquities, but it is always worth to visit the souks where you can find crafts and spices.
Here you can make the trip to the temple of Abu Simbel which is located 280 km from Aswan, as usual wake up at dawn and then you can reach by air ...... to be honest even though they have traveled I do not like very much the air ... especially when I'm in front of a "trabiccoli" little ones who seem to watch them have not even the strength to stand up ..... But once arrived on the spot I saw something incredibly beautiful.
This temple, also in my personal ranking is in first place overall. Perhaps because my fellow citizens have been actively involved between 1961 and 1968 in the rescue. Do you think this temple was dismantled and transported to a few tens of meters at most of its original position, otherwise it would have been submerged by water. Had to cut stone after stone and replace in exactly the same position were true artists.
It 'been a huge job but it was really worth the pain, here are the two most famous Nubian temples.
The great temple dedicated to RAMESSE II Hamon-Ra, and the small temple of Hathor and Nefertari at a hundred meters from the previous year.
Inside the temples all the designs have yet warm colors of red and blue stand out in particular hike is expensive ..... but it is a pity not to have it ....

6th day Aswan - Kom Ombo - Esna
VISIT THE TEMPLE OF Kom Ombo, the temple we visited in the evening is dedicated to 2 gods Sobek (with head of crocodile) and HAROERI (the god Horo in the form of a falcon) here I have an unpleasant memory of a character inside the temple which we spit and cursed because we have not given the money ..... but you can not always give everyone! So I went in a hurry.

7th day Esna - Luxor
Excursion to the temple of Karnak and the Luxor
In the temple of Karnak particularly remember the Great Hall Ipostila with huge columns high more than 20 mt.
And in the temple of Luxor on the human head sphinxes.

8th day Luxor - Sharm el Sheik
and after the levatacce and traipsing down a well-deserved holiday in the Naama Bay SHARM HOLIDAY RESORT

Even say that this trip, I would certainly rifarlo maybe looking a little history before you leave, it is also very important that the guide accompanying you, and fortunately our Egyptian boy was a very witty and funny, which is also fun to look at lap letting figuracce make amazing stuff.

In all places visited by the ship was going down when there were several children and since I had brought home several hats, handbags, bag, pens .... I presented them with many happy children along the route of the cruise. So if you have something at home which are not know it (eg all the gadgets that you give in travel agency) I have the habit to keep in reserve and always a corner in my suitcase because you Rempe nothing more to do with joy an unexpected gift.
I also happened that one evening while I was at Kom Ombo, I was approached a little girl, asked me to visit your store but are not out buying anything because there was really little and then I was still bewildered by the reaction of that 'man. She has followed me and after a while 'I was taken by the hand giving you 3 small statuettes .... this gesture moved me so that I finished my fast lap, I went back to the ship to look for something that they can give, and even though I knew that I had already spent almost everything in the bottom of the bag I had was a nice backpack, she was happy and his statues have become my luck ....
