Very nice white village EDEN, SHARM CLUB. Impeccable service.
Sea and desert are indeed the wonder that is so they say, but that only a person can totally captivate you. Too bad only for Sharm ... fake and fabricated to suit the needs of tourists.
Arrival in Sharm
This time the goal did not allow a living do it yourself "and so we start with EDEN Travel.
Livingstone's flight from Rome with an hour late at 22:00 and arrive in Sharm.
Going down the stairs A330 is the impression of entering a large oven ... the air seems unbearable but you soon get used to the new climate.
We arrived at Sharm Club and, despite the time, give us the opportunity to dine.
The village now looks very nice and we will confirm the next day!
Witched by the Reef
We got up early eager to swim in the Red Sea so famous. I do a tour of the village is really nice. We had chosen for its small size and direct access to the sea .. we do not disappoint. Nothing concrete or complexes Dick ... only several white houses surrounded by a large garden full of trees and flowers. The animation is decent and you can enjoy the sound of the sea! And then we discover that you eat well!
Not a big beach, but it is surrounded by small coves with the access footpath to the sea.
The first swim beyond the reef and the time to look down enough to be enchanted! It's not just the impression of swimming in an aquarium for the number and species of fish, but the wonder offered by multicolor coral wall. It's a real underwater garden.
I thought it was necessary to be able to see the diving scenarios "from the documentary" but I find that here is not so!
Ras Mohammed
We got up very early at 6:00 and depart for the excursion to
Ras Mohammed Marine Park, the protected area that spans the southern tip of
Sinai. Just out from Sharm ... we enter into Egypt. And only here you know how to Sharm was born only for the consumption of tourists ... too bad. We check passports and continue along the main road to Cairo, surrounded by the mountains of the
Sinai desert.
Upon entering the park to a beach from which we start immediately to snorkel. We thank our guide to the heel elevator ... there are only 7 and our group of a few people. The barrier here is even more spectacular than in front of the village ... the fish are a lot more and I would not leave the water! We continue our visit with the mangrove channel and the rift created by the earthquake, the landscape is very beautiful but nothing that attractions. Then again the magic lake, a beautiful natural swimming pool created from seawater that enters into this lagoon. It is said to bring good luck, love and fertility .... like every self-respecting tourist group we join hands and do the ritual dip group shouting "Habibi"! We went to the monumental entrance to the park and we stop to do "snorkeling" in another bay. You taste the first in the desert and exhausted by 45 ° back to the village for an afternoon of relaxation. In the evening we go by taxi to go to "Sharm" old. Old is only the name and this is nothing but a big bazaar for tourists. Pretty good fake .... qlalche just to buy souvenirs, and do not forget to bargain for a long time ...
The Sinai Peninsula and St. Catherine convent
Today new heel elevator for the excursion to the Monastery of
St. Catherine. The crossing of the
Sinai is very beautiful and charming, penetrating the interior in colors and shapes so special to remember the great expanses of Arizona.
We have the first contact with the people with the Bedouin population, which now seems quite used to receive "visits".
Despite the 1500 m of altitude, the monastery is very hot and beautiful stretch of road that separates us from the entrance is really tiring. The monastery itself does not exceptional, lies in a precise e. .. mystic. I think for those who believe it or not, remains a place of great intensity. Nice to see gathered here symbols, traditions and history of three great religions live together and attract different faiths. Campanile and Minaret here are close not only physically. Not to be missed.
Going back to Sharm we stop in
Dahab for a little shopping. Known as a favorite of surfers and hippies
Dahab with its promenade is very nice and careful and less inflated in Sharm ...
It is true that the prices here are better, indeed .... bring groups here and sellers are less polite, used to "pluck the chickens" at art ...
Sinai & Abu Galum
Even today we leave early for another tour that would bring together some the most significant aspects of this trip: DESERT & SEA. We start in 4x4 Jeep and we head into the wilderness where walk and not beaten track .. very funny. We stopped for a break in a Bedouin village where they told us their traditions and customs while enjoying the typical tea! The day continued to the Natural Park of Abu Galum. Here camels along the coast and finally "snorkeling"! Lunch in a Bedouin tent and still
Dahab ... The day is beautiful, but too "touristy" for my standards ... the best thing and that I will have yet more children. Although accustomed to tourists, forced to sell all sorts of trinkets, I was struck by their beauty and their smile that never goes out.
Again Sea!
Today, the day devoted to rest and enjoy the last days of this wondrous sea. We leave the umbrella and let us pamper you from the sun ...
Although I was not attracted to anything we're going to spend the evening in the infamous Naama Bay. The impression was correct, but we are dedicated to a little shopping in numerossisimi shops. Sharm is all here .... from local and .. in short, a casino "Strip" Las Vegas-style format in Arabic.
Anyway ... to see.
One more day as a gift ...
We had to leave in late morning, but our flight is delayed until 22:00! With a minimum charge we leave the room until the evening and we provide meals and services ... so unexpectedly we allow ourselves another day on the beach for a last look at the beautiful barrier.
We welcome Sharm enjoying the last sunset on the
Sinai.
