A different trip in the heart of Kenya

Departure from Milan on February 5, it is cold, but in a few hours we will be back in Kenya, and this time new route!
We've been 4 times in Kenya, the first time we stayed in Watamu, for a week, then ... we went back 2 more times. During our first trip we met with him and John of in2kenya we did the safari 2 days. The other two times, now we had her mail, booking before with John, we have
made a 4-day safari, visiting the parks of Tsavo East, Amboseli and Tsavo West. This time, we decided to rely on for our vacation, the whole organization, and to visit another part of Kenya. So, we contacted and asked to organize our entire vacation.
On arrival in Mombasa, we found him waiting for us, we went to the hotel, and as soon as he left our luggage and after a refreshing shower, we started with the discovery of Mombasa. The other times we had only ever crossed, and known in passing, but this time we have spent a little time!
We visited the old town, with narrow streets, old houses with carved wooden balconies, the new part, the business district, hotels still in the old English style! Very beautiful was the visit to the fort: Fort Jesus.
I must say that I did not expect! Very interesting, with a large square inside the museum, with antique Chinese vases. And go, I think we guessed one day stop here!
The next morning we left, destination: the Malindi airport.
In fact, this time our vacation does not include the safari, Lamu, but ...!
After a face about 40 minutes we are at the airport ... is one of Lamu spettacolto! :-) seems to be in Africa one person with a cart, and load all our luggage arrived, then in the lobby (okay ... under the mango tree!) la'ddetto find the hotel, which takes us viaaa pier and by boat to the island where we will stay! We spend so 4 days to wander between the various islands. One of the most distant and certainly less touristy, is the island of Pate, after about 2 hours of sailing, a little at sea in garden, some among the rows of mangroves, we arrive at Pate. It 'a small town, where there are no tourists, and also here, as in other islands of the means of transport are: the foot or donkeys! many donkeys, walking the streets, alone, in groups, loads, with only a blanket on the rump. After the tour of the island, passing through large palm groves and banana plantations, visiting the site of Shang, the oldest archaeological site on the coast, we stop at a local bar to drink water. In the afternoon, while we're on the road again, so to speak ... the street, back, we chase the mayor of the island, and asks us if we can give him a ride to Lamu.
The days go by between visits to Lamu, with its strong, the museum of Swahili culture, the hospital of the donkeys, a walk to the island of Shela, where past the headland ... sand dunes as far as the eye ! beautiful, lonely, an expanse of golden sand just for us! Then one morning, we rented a boat and we do bring to the island of Manda. Here, too, what about ... almost deserted beach, a few resorts that you can hardly see the sea and sea sea!
Ah yes, the evening dinner at Hapa Hapa, a small restaurant on the seafront, where you can eat crab monster spectacular! and where do the various fruit smoothies that lead to heaven!
It 'time to go, the 5 th day, we go back to the airport in Malindi, Watamu from here to where we rest for the last 2 days before departure!
What, we asked John to organize this trip and it was the height of all: the day in Mombasa, Lamu archipelago of the living room, the house for two days in Watamu. In2kenya Thanks, John, thanks for having organized this special holiday, a bit off the usual "rounds"! :-)
The next time will be a safari 7 days!! and then living sea!
