Finally we're off!
It was more than a year waiting for this holiday. My greatest desire is to make the safari (which in Zanzibar for the high cost we could not do) to see my beloved Zebras (other than big five!)
Not just bought the living room (the only flight that cost me the whole week!) Contact Thomas by email call duration and place of the safari.
Organize a safari with the local boys, so-called "beach boys" is easy. Most of them have websites, blogs, are supported by local tourism agencies, and, thanks to tom-toms of some of these tourists are able to handle reservations already in Italy. Just like Thomas and Dip.
And so I think we must organize trips / excursions varied: it is unnecessary for tour operators creep doubts and fears about the professionalism of these guys. The final product is the same, is the chain + short ... therefore lower prices.
Necessary introduction before you begin the story of the journey!
The flight with Air Canada is timely, for lunch we already all'Aquarius. The first trial is not exactly positive, but only because mindful of Gemma East of Zanzibar we expected a room + "cute". Findings that change before long. The structure is built in three "zones", we are in the Aquarius, near the restaurant and reception (only a little distant from the sea) but that's OK! The other two I think, have been developed later and are + close to the beach.
After lunch we meet with Thomas, we suffered from x safari in order to spend the last days at sea. This was the Thomas had 4 boys ready to go Jacaranda Park and overnight

We start at 3:00 am, the journey will be long.
Amboseli is about 700km from
Watamu and not the entire road is paved.
(Numa I think if your foreman against the glass I still laugh !!!).
What will never lose after 8h flight traveling ???!!
Thomas is waiting for us outside the hotel, go for coffee (a coffee surpluses Thomas Mauro!) And then immediately start up. The expedition (photo) is made by me & Mauro Betti & Numa Brescia and Genoa Margaret & David. I would say a good group. We were lucky. The ns. guide (which make up some hours + later) is the legendary Samuel said Pantani. He, let's face it, it will have boxes full of lions, giraffes, wildebeest .. In some periods (x fortune) is also 10 days in a row safari.
After several stops we arrive at the gate so dreamed dell'
Amboseli. Already at the gates of the park, the beginnings animals (my zebreeeeeeeeeee). After the usual photo entry, we begin with the first game drive. I would say the emotion of the first contact for people like me who has only seen on television the bush and its animals is something indescribable! Really!
Zebras, buffalo, ostrich, elephant, hippopotamus (cursed from afar! Grrrrrrr) and lions at once, as if it were a normal thing. .. But really it is! That is their land, I am probably out of place!?
Kibo is a really beautiful, and choice (Thomas) to let us sleep in the tented camp at the foot of Kilimanjaro is super.
Equally beautiful but maybe + "Western" and you Wildlife Lodge.
Samuel and the driver are very patient, despite seeing almost every day elephants, wildebeest, zebras and ... know that we photographed a small detail is important. We stop constantly, photography, photographers ...
I've got elephant, giraffe I have, I've got antelope, zebra've got ... missing rhino, leopard (+ lucky that someone of us have seen instead) and the cheetah.
The two nights of flying safari, emotions, places (beautiful Kilimanjaro) and km are many. Return to the hotel give us a day of total relaxation. Sunday however, we are ready for the safari blue. And it is on this occasion I got to know another "beach boys" DIP (also organizes safaris). Showing at the first day while waiting for Thomas, we met with him and "his clt" in the same boat. A person really helpful and generous (we brought the following day at Malindi FREE !!!!) Just look at him to realize that it is really a nice person. A day at sea, including lobster and an octopus super (madonna what was good that dinner!), 2 photos and 4 talk and Dive is now in our hearts.
Unfortunately the week has flown, greeting friends and leaving a popular place, the real illness that can contract, is the nostalgia for Africa.
We are pleased and satisfied with your selections, hotel (center in
Watamu) did with Thomas safari (we return to the Masai Mara !!!!!) and school places visited, Masai village at the foot of Kilimanjaro and orphanage Mound.
Last, not least is: pens, notebooks, crayons, toys, clothes. Everything is welcome, especially in places less "tourist". By chance we imbattutti returning from safari in a school (I was with my notebooks, pens, crayons and markers) where these children had a paper and a pen ONE: Here's their "school kits" Other than winks and pockemon (or whatever you call it).
Small gestures that give you destabilize smiles!
