After a week in Mexico in the spring, I and my companion Paola decide to take a last minute for Kenya, finally the much-desired African soil!
We find an offer of 545 euros with bed and breakfast at Taman Jua, a three star owned by an Italian, to say the least beautiful apartment-style African 40-45 sqm with all positioned in the middle of a garden tropical poolside. The food is great (you can decide if you took only B & B to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel for the price of 7 euros per meal) and the staff friendly. At the hotel we were only in 11 (which surprised!) And right now we have formed a group which moved almost always united. During their stay in Taman Jua we enjoyed the beautiful beaches (Oasis, Rosada) in Malindi and even more beautiful in Watamu. We dipped using the famous "tuc tuc" (ape car used as taxi) in the chaos of Africa (we were always the only white around Malindi), craft markets, the factory where he works the wood, in the shops of the center between odors and scents of nature bursting African routes between huts inhabited by poor people in beautiful villas (see Briatore) held by Europeans. We did the Safari Blue (30), ie in the coral reef snorkeling and lunch of lobster, octopus, shrimp, on a wonderful bay model Polynesia. We then decided to make a safari for 2 days at the park Tzavo East (180) where we stayed in a beautiful lodge in the middle of the savannah, surrounded by monkeys, impala, elephant. Here we saw for 2 days all sorts of animals, from giraffes to lions, to elephants, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, gazelles, hippos .... a must-do experience for those who go to these areas. Come back after your safari, we accompany the facts at a school where we donated exercise books and pens we had brought from home for all children ... one more experience that will enrich your child! What else to add a trip like that .... only the people even if sometimes it is very gracious and insistent disponibilissima, always with a smile and "Jambi" ready to greet despite some truly live in poverty. The nature is overwhelming, full of colors, scents, smells. Children are the thing that most affect you, these big eyes that blacks often you will look and begging for candy, a pen ...
P.S. As for the vaccinations we have done atimalarica with Lariam and the vaccine against hepatitis A and atitetanica, but perhaps not for anti-a kind of travel is not really necessary.
Greetings to everyone and if you need advice ask!
