Back in Watamu with Giovanni.. Holidays in Kenya
Finally after 4 months, we returned to Kenya, this time, we made a trip to do it yourself.
We booked the flight with South African Airways, very nice, new plane, and comfortable.
Before we left, we contacted John, who had already met in previous trip, we found a very nice house, in Watamu. We spent 35 € per day, and we were really good, has a beautiful garden, a party upstairs where you can relax, with the typical makuti roof.
On arrival in Mombasa, the first pleasant surprise, since the cost another 20 €, even though they said that they would increase :-)
We settled in, and the early days, John took us around Watamu, one evening, went to the beach to wait for the fishermen, and brought us a fantastic red grouper. We cooked and ate dinner on the terrace.
We then made a day safari blue, Sardegna2, where I have to say that the colors, the transparency of the sea, puffers, sea turtles, pay homage to the name you gave it! a day at sea, with many songs sung during the day, fun, sun, sea, new friends.
At the end of the first week, we left for the safari, this time, we decided to go to the Safari Park and Tsavo east Amboseli.
Amboseli is the way to get a bit long, but with a stop for lunch, and a little rest, look at the countries, the time has flown! And here are the first giraffes to be expected, the first zebras, elephants first. See the full expanse of elephants, zebras, buffalo was a true spectacle. Beautiful evening to go to Lake Amboseli, where there are lots of hippos! And a lot of hyena dens with cubs. As children are beautiful too! We stayed in a tented camp, well, that is, basically a room with private bathroom in the middle of the bush at the foot of Kilimanjaro.
The second was the Tsavo east park, a nice return, with a group of lions resting under a palm tree after a deserved hunting! The red elephants of land that sticks in each corner, they were held in the evening, but John did surprise us, we were in a new tented camp, a show in front of each tent with a small private swimming pool! Well what to say, this time John surprised us! Take a bath after the safari is beautiful, with the savannah and the animals in front of even more!
Our holiday has continued, with evenings at home or at the Kalahari Watamu, or, now we trust to eat chapatis mishakiki and stalls in the country. With the kids who call you by name, and make you smile to fall to the ground unconscious!
Thanks John, once again we had a great time, a little at home now, we are here in the cold, but the next goal will be to Kenya, where we want to make a good safari 7 days, so you can see the famous Masai Mara!
Do not hesitate to contact John, is a serious person, solar, that will help you enjoy your stay, and will also say no to some exaggerated claims of some tourists. Boys do not off-piste! We respect this beautiful land and its inhabitants!
