After 5 long months finally back to "home"!
With Todomondo I found a very good offer, back to Watamu to Jacaranda Beach Resort 15 days, and my traveling companion this time will be my dad!
From Malpensa to March 11, eight-hour flight with a stopover in Zanzibar and Mombasa are. A trip that seemed ever so great was the desire to return ...
In Turin let cold, wind and rain ...
Getting off the plane and already 'at last I feel the hot African skin ...
I fills the heart of everything 'that I left in October ... the dark faces, sun, blue sky, the monkeys jumping from branch to branch ...
The driver is waiting for us and we expect good two hours before arriving at the Jacaranda.
Dad is on his first trip to Kenya, is fascinated yet horrified by what 'that sees beyond the window ...
The van is hot, there was just a storm then the air is muggy and sticky.
We arrive for lunch in the village ... meeting everyone, guards, gardeners, receptionists, waiters, Slope, Small, and Richard Masha animators ...
Even during my first visit to Kenya had been at the Jacaranda, but in the old part, what is now Eden Village! It 'a very pleasant resort, simple but accurate in detail, the local staff is fantastic, are all available and friendly, than the Italian one can not' say the same .. Their only thought is to discredit the BeachBoys so that no face with their tours and leave you to understand why such fury to these guys! The new part is much more 'big, maybe a bit' more 'wasteful than the old. The rooms are simple but clean. There is air conditioning and ceiling fan. The strength in my opinion is the position ... is located within the Watamu Marine Park and the sea in that area is the most 'beautiful coast of Kenya. And 'truth that is isolated aphids but we boys we always moved with no problem.
The tides enchanted, the landscape is constantly changing with the coming and going of the sea ...
I forgot one thing ... sooo important for us Italians eat very well!
A quick jump in the room and then immediately on the beach to greet those who had made my experience unique African holiday!
The beach is always beautiful, huge white and Dad is shocked ... .. there's the sea!
Haha! 'The Mother took it away "I say,' but then again!"
And I find them all beautiful "tan" pending the new mozzarella!
Picasso and Giorgio Napolitano BeachBoys that the two had met once before they knew of our arrival, we stayed in touch during these five months from italy ..
The afternoon we spend in the shade of the stands to tell the months and organize trips that we made in the next 15 days!
All of them of course .. I knew that in addition to saving quality 'would surely have been higher than that of the villages!
The second day wake up early so dad can 'finally see the sea!
Then, just down the tide, a walk to the reef.
After lunch we go with Picasso and Giorgio Napolitano for a ride late afternoon in Watamu and necessary step to Italian ice cream ... if you go that way try ice cream because it is really worth!
Also this time Picasso and the "president Giorgio Napolitano show two exceptional guides.
We go with them to make the Safari Blue, a beautiful day out at sea, including sea stars and fishes stained with grilled on a spit of sand left uncovered by low tide ... fish, coconut rice, lobster, shrimp and fruit!
We spend some nights in the village, fired from days spent wandering in the warm sun and other Kenyan around with boys, disco, restaurants and Malindi.
Several days' later we leave for the safari, the last time I was at Camp Ndololo, this time for the best dad you Wild Life!
It starts early, outside the gate punctual Picasso, George and the legendary Safari driver waiting for us! Let's get a couple in Watamu and make a nice Italian breakfast in a kiosk that makes cakes and pies ... Picasso and Safari prefer a breakfast more '" Africa 'and opt for polenta and cow! George likes a lot of the donut, hazelnut and cappuccino!
Hour or two and we are at the Tsavo Est.
Also this time I'm lucky ... so many animals, lions, gazelles, buffaloes, zebras, elephants, hippos ...
And the landscape is constantly changing color .. emerald green near the water, dry and golden on the other side ... the blue sky and white clouds like whipped cream!
We follow a cheetah while preparing for the hunt but then it gets late and we must return to the field.
The safari was fantastic and we come back dead tired but happy the next day for lunch!
In the following days we often go around Malindi, the price of wood, markets, streets full of people and going always make me feel at home.
Rent a car and always with Picasso and George go to the Devil's Kitchen, breathtaking views and a warm scary!
We turn to the villages, know their families and wherever we feel welcome.
We organized a dinner at a small bar in a village with fish, rice with octopus made by their mothers and goat, eat with your hands, it seems easy but I can assure you that it is not for nothing!
They were all clean ... I had rice up to the elbows!
The days pass, the village we are very little ...
Comes the day of departure and as always the sadness of having to go home and leave this beautiful country, its people, all friends and especially Picasso and George is really great ...
But I will return 'soon ... just arrived in Italy I immediately booked a flight for September!
When Mal d'Africa takes hold of your heart will be 'difficult to resist the urge to come back!
I thank once again all the friends that I found especially Picasso and Giorgio Napolitano, who slowly, every time I come, I do know more and more 'their extraordinary country!
If you're ever in these parts and need trusted guides count on them and not regret it!

I, I thank them for their dedicated www.sognandoilkenya.com a site where I picked up a bit 'of my nostalgia for Africa!
