We left Rome around midnight with Air Canada, the flight was pretty tiring, given that the 'plane was pretty close and we made a stopover of 2 hours to Zanzibar without air conditioning.
Once in Mombasa, we reached our hotel Aquarius after about two hours and a half bus. The structure is very beautiful and clean and, diffrerenza many isolated villages that are like fortresses, located in the country, and for those who want to leave enough to make two steps to be among the locals. Is about 300 meters from the sea and you can reach the beach from 'outside or through a bridge and a garden in the village. The rooms are furnished in local style, small and very romantic with beautiful terraces to relax on the sofa after dinner maybe.
The kitchen is good and varied and are usually served dishes of Italian cuisine as there are foreign guests in the village. As for the sea, the phenomenon of the tides is very evident, the 'water can also retire for miles, leaving the islets and within walking distance populated by crabs. In the period where we're we were not so many algae were unable to swim but we did not matter because we went to Kenya for safari and beach holiday we have served only to relax before and after this fantastic experience. After this wonderful experience we have relaxed to the sea and we made the trip to the mangroves, a day to 'teach the sun and the sea with a huge lunch of prawns and lobsters. It 'been too nice' trip to Malindi with a visit to the wood factory and a marketplace where you can buy souvenirs at unbeatable prices, just negotiate and do business better than the stalls on the beach. Finally, 'all travel' isola dell 'amore, a' small island reachable on foot from the beach during low tide where you can relax or take a swim in the lagoon surrounding.
This trip was really a dream and I am sure that we will be always in our hearts.
