Kenya, How long?
It 's the most common question that has accompanied us for yet another trip to Kenya made with my wife and my son Luke 9 years.

We started in late August to try to save a bit 'on air fare, and return a few days before the opening of schools,
we started with Egypt Air with a stopover in Cairo with its new terminal at Malpensa would envy. Arrive in Nairobi.
All on time and without any problem ... Hakuna matata.

each had 20 kilograms each, and I want it I was 22, Luke 21 kg and 20kg with my wife ... we have too much carry-on luggage and we were lucky that 'no one has ever weighed. ... (Thank goodness ..)

We knew we had to do so 'for the year that we have collected so much material to put a full week to prepare for the luggage not leave home at all.

Our Luke had his suitcase packed with suits and football outfits, gathered from his friends who go to play football, he was so 'funny seeing him with his trolley trudge to the airports, but at the same time proud of what he was doing to make us understand, once again, we were right to return to Kenya with him, active involvement in our small aid projects for this population and that both these families have made us fall in love with their land and changed our lives for the better ....

We had already 'programmed from Italy, as we always do, our safari via e-mail to our trusty Thomas Mboya Guide for safaris and excursions Watamu who works regularly for the entire African safari agency .. and every time we return , shows us a piece of his Kenya.

We left immediately the next day for a long safari to Masai Mara for 3 days, we stayed at the Fig Tree camp, and as in all our travels in Kenya, we again have to adapt our spirit has helped us a lot to overcome contingencies and "fly" on the pitfalls of this accommodation is likely in high season with the full booking, a little sin 'for service and quality'.

Needless to describe the beauty of this park during the migration of animals, this time Luke has never stopped taking pictures, I do not know how many he has made, I have two 2 GB cards to control, but his enthusiasm Hakuna matata us together with its continuous exclamations, questions and curiosities' ...
One of the most 'beautiful,' was when out of the park, we encountered a mini bus with foreign tourists stuck in the mud.
Immediately our driver has attached the cable to our jeep to tow and it 'was difficult because' they were well stuck.
The jeep and 'off and could not be more' to put in motion. ... The driver immediately jumped out in the mud open the bonnet to check the engine but has difficulty 'to keep it open because it' lacks the stand ...

We look around and begin to see the kids who come with a Masai pastor dressed in his red suit and his staff. ... At that point our driver did not think twice, take the stick and use it as stand keep open the hood and be like 'two hands free ... .2 minutes puts the jeep happy screaming children, Luke meanwhile gathers all the pens he had brought from Italy ....

My wife and Luke are trying to communicate a bit 'in English a bit' in Italian with these children to try to put them all in single file to receive a pen each. ...
I saw small children in line behind the other, made to wait with their hands, never try to overpower the other. ... And 'was really good and my mind and my heart was' filled with emotions.

After the safari, internal flights Nairobi-Malindi with Fly540 to finally get to Watamu.
The hour or flight from Nairobi to Malindi and 'was always accompanied by the question .... Pope' but what is missing to get?

Soon Luke, very little and finally ... here we are!
Airport Malindi and 'little one, luggage were withdrawn immediately and was to be expected as always our Thomas Mboya along with Anthony his most orphaned grandson' great 11 years, who had organized the transfer of Watamu. .

Luke Anthony greeted with a beautiful 5 hand open like two old friends came out fast from the airport, this time leaving his trolley to transport heavy ... was too excited ... tell Anthony quintals all sightings of animals made to Masai Mara and do not know how, but we understand perfectly ... speaks a little English the other speaks little Italian ... but you understand ...

Transfer from Malindi to Watamu together in a minibus loaded with luggage and so much to tell ... but one question always eccheggiava ... but what is lacking in Watamu? Just Luke .... Soon!

Thomas had booked accommodation for us in Watamu, then together we have chosen and changed as follows:
For the first 3 nights we were at Turtle Bay Beach Club where we recovered from the fatigue of the safari.
The rest of the stay we did at the Beach vieuw, residences throughout Africa with a small pool.

Managing to save the living, we were able to buy some food distributing a Sunday in the various villages, where Thomas has been with us.
We know reality 'children outside the tourist circuit, where many steps to go on safari to Tsavo East, but not all stop, I remembered them last year and I wanted to come back because' the call of those images and feelings, I was accompanied throughout the year and I had to go ..

Here we have left much of the material brought from Italy, and many medicines.

Our relaxing stay running in the morning and afternoon game, Luke was finally able to distribute its "load" of track suits and shorts balloon, which had collected in Italy and had created a sort of square where calcium daily were somehow to play ...

Every time I went to the internet point in Watamu and connects me to see my mail, where instead of reading the emails of my customers, answer only to those of tourists about to leave for their holidays in Kenya that they asked me practical information .

We were at Marafra at Mound to greet our friends orphanage, many times in Malindi and dinner at the home of Thomas seafood cooked by his Mother Anna, together with polenta accompanied by various African dishes, all around a table where the light was oil lamp, where the houses around were "huts," where there was no cutlery, but where everyone ate happily singing the beloved song Jambo bwana ...

The whole time we were in Kenya Watamu and I forgot to have a phone, I forgot to have a watch, I forgot to follow the meal times, I forgot that at home suffering from insomnia, ....

Kenya for us, 'even a natural medicine, a remedy for daily stress

Pope 'what's missing? Soon Luke, soon we must go home. ... In Italy.

Watamu in Kenya and we want Thomas back, again and again ... and 'need to be filled ... and' a promise made to Anthony Luke dreams of one day bringing in Italy like his brother ... Africa!

Asante Kenya healthy!
