Kenya, our hearts elsewhere
A few days of holidays, still undecided on where to go, we decided, in agreement, happy, to return to the country where we left a little piece of our heart: Kenya. Through internet we have selected a second and last we left after 48h. Unfortunately Fiumicino begin the first difficulties for a delay of almost 3h flight to Mombasa. However leaving aside inconveniente qs ... we arrive at Mombasa, the sun beats, there is a nice light wind and immediately we feel at our ease, almost at home, with people to whom we turn with a few words of Swahili that we have learned in our previous stay in Kenya in 2005. After more than 2h to arrive to our hotel Watamu Aquarius unfortunately that is home to 100% of Italian customers, which we personally, would like to avoid all our holidays. Immediately send a sms to our now friend, Thomas, a boy approached Watamu from Rome and who accompanied us and made the company, ending its work allowing for the entire the duration of our holiday. On canonical hotel was a little all the same, in the pool (the hotel will have 3), down on the beach along with beach simpaticissimi boys, something to drink cool but our exits are marked to have this trip in 2008: the Safari to Tsavo East has been, as we were safe, wonderful, exciting, dusty, full of feelings that you fill your heart especially when the night spent in the tents of Camp Ndololo, gave us the closeness and sounds of lions and elephants! And then the red earth of the road, animals everywhere, people are hospitable, furbetta but a bit fantastic, our Swahili, which has helped us in so many occasions, children with their eyes of a black color with ebony joy that you are photographing, but then ask 'water, water' and you really make the heart, the hot holes of the road, and in the days to follow the Blue Safari
departure from Malindi, un'escursione 'classic' of its kind but, if done with the right people Friendly and funny, will prove a nice experience, very beautiful, especially therapeutic for those who, like me, have sea sickness but then realizes that it is a psychological issue because there's nothing more beautiful and healthy living and certain emotions would be really a huge sin exclude all of this for the silly fears. And then walking on foot, by day, outside of the i 'supermarket', small shops, people along the way ... what about: Kenya, our hearts elsewhere.
