KENYA, THE REAL PARADISE

Hello to all, we are Daniel and Marzia, a pair of Bologna just returned from a wonderful trip to Kenya, Africa in the magic. Here you briefly tell our week of vacation time waiting, dreaming for a whole year, the day of departure.
We started from Milan Malpensa flight with Air Canada at 2 and 30 with a time delay. L 'plane was discreet and the crew very friendly. After 9 hours we stopped in Zanzibar for a 'hour and after about 45 minutes of flight we arrived in Mombasa. At the airport we waited the bus with our travel assistant Eden (our tour operator). From Mombasa after about two hours by bus we arrived at WATAMU.Già during the journey we began to understand how different is the lifestyle of our Kenyan ... and then the right-hand drive assures you that is impressive!
Aquarius arrived in the village we were shown the division of the same erea which consists of 3 areas. Lili Palm (where we stayed), and Mapango Aquarius.In 's, located a hundred meters from the rest of the village, there' was the restaurant where they consumed breakfast, lunch and dinner. International cuisine was varied and quite discreet. To enter the restaurant you must travel a stretch of road outside the village. In that stretch of road at any time, meet the famous Beach Boy (kids of all ages who are trying to sell anything between various objects and excursions to visit the site). To connect the village to the rest of the restaurant are building a bridge closure to work date to be decided ....
As soon as we arrived immediately contacted Sugar (say the best and most trusted beach Boy of the place that we had contacted the 'Italy through its website) to get d' agreement on when and what trips to make. We booked 3 excursions including Safari for two days (one night) 's trip to Marine Park and a visit to Malindi. Say that we have saved a lot 'compared to the prices of the village and it was worth it.
The first day we had a lovely walk along the coast to reach the so-called Isola dell 'amore. A place that at low tide there is a fantastic area of coral and form natural pools of crystalline water and sand languages.
The first excursion was a boat trip with local guides who had been held as follows:
the morning we boat along with the entire coast of WATAMU until you get to a place where we did a little 'dive with fins and masks to admire the coral and marine life. E 'spectacular dive and have a variety of fish to a cm from the nose ...
Then we stopped at another place and we are down to take a bath: In view of the low tide had formed of the languages of sand that it stands in the crystalline sea. A few meters from us is also a past squaletto that vagava near the coast. We shared and we rifermati on a beautiful beach where our guides have prepared a fantastic grilled fish (lobster, shrimp barracuda, etc.). After lunch, the boys who were on the beach, we have proposed a tour by canoe along the river to admire the vegetation consists of mangrove (of course after a bargain on the price of the tour we came to a ridiculous figure, given that it was worth it ). After lunch we shared and we returned to our village. We did a nice bit of road walking along the beach and the usual Beach Boy accompany you trying to convince you to buy something. We must take it with philosophy, because it sometimes becomes assillante but, rightly, is their way of earning a living and we must understand not deteriorate.
E 'come on the day of the Safari and wake up early (at 5) we went with a van with our guide to breakfast in a bar in an Italian couple.
From here began the long journey of 2 hours and perhaps more than the road (so if you can define) to get dirt to the park Tsavo East entered the park we started to see the animals.
All elephants, zebras, gazelles, baboons, and shortly after the first lion. After we have seen 2 others including one with the puppies that licks his whiskers after eating some kind of animal (he was now little to understand what is). We stayed to spend the night in a park where fantasy tend to be very close you could see where the animals went to drink in the pond.
Back from safari on the penultimate day we visited the 'orphanage in WATAMU
It 'was a beautiful experience to see the happiness of children that we have welcomed singing a song of welcome that reveal nothing of their sad destino.Abbiamo left all' orphanage brought the stuff from 'Italy (pens, notepad, clothes for us are unnecessary) to try to give a little help for the future of those children even if what we always seem a little ...
Then we visited the town of Malindi, where in the old town is really relished the real poverty of this place (people living in disaster-huts, roads, roads that are not, and many traders (Kenyans are all traders ..)
L 'last day' s we spent relaxing in the sun after a heavy shower that morning nothing left to hope that there would be a day so beautiful.
Unfortunately arrived and the 'last day and you start ...
All 'airport of Mombasa, we have waited more than three hours long after the' board in a waiting room that had only a pseudo-bar, with prices and euro exchange schilling by thieves .. you could not go to duty free, you only had to stay there to wait to go on 'plane ... imagine that boredom .. (l plane delayed 2 hours)
I conclude that it was a wonderful experience and if there will be l 'occasion back in Kenya since a week, although activity was passing quickly and you find yourself at home imagining what could have been done if I were still there' ...
