My beloved Africa. A trip with Bernard to Watamu, Kenya
As a child, I heard about the mal'd'africa. That is not a disease ... or at least if it were I think all humans would be infected! I visited several countries around the world are fascinated by some people for their customs .. clothes .. monuments. But in early 2010, taken by a very special moment and at the same time a little 'critic of my life I decided to make a trip, and I must say that the choice for Africa was almost accidental .. namely Kenya.
As soon as I placed the foot in this land, have been filled, wrapped ... surrounded by positive energy. (I swear it was a pleasant feeling but at the same time I was dazed wonder ..) Clearly as a base I was a tourist resort. I went to the bush the next day exactly the direction of the Park Tsavo East with the Beach Boy Bernard. It took 2 hours before arriving in these two hours and a lot of children on the roadside in a row to go to school, only to hear the engine noise of the bus sang their "jambo ..", all together and arms raised to greet us. Arrived at the park, my eyes start to wander on and on ... all I had ever seen in documentaries .. now I saw it with my eyes .. and I had a few meters, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, warthogs. ... and I managed to see lions with their cubs! Exciting it was to sleep in the tent camp in the bush, (I recommend more than sleeping in the lodge). But I must say that the experience that marked me the most was the ability to be with the African children, are wonderful wonderful ... Their eyes, their smile ... fill the heart with so much happiness ... Apart from meeting them in the streets to ask where you run towards a candy, or a simple greeting, I went to visit the orphanage in Mound. All these experiences I have been able to do thanks to the guys who work on the beach for so-called beach boys, who organize trips, and in particular I can talk to Bernard, that wonderful guy to me and to my fellow travelers made an unforgettable holiday . Bernard is a very professional, accurate, and then speaks Italian very well and very nice hard not to feel affection. In fact, to our departure for Italy, none of us managed to hold back the tears. Anyone who is leaving for Kenya I suggest you yield to him with the HEART for your excursions, I'm sure you will appreciate ...!!!!!!
