First time in Kenya
4 person family (two boys)

AIR ITALY trip with a stopover in Heathrow, both outward and return flights, not provided for the reservation, aircraft not comfortable, but comfortable enough; hours observed.

Watamu-Garoda Resort: we were really good
Beautiful property overlooking the sea. Spacious, clean, tasteful. Good public spaces, a restaurant overlooking the sea. Varied cuisine and excellent quality. Staff, Italian and non-attentive, polite and helpful.
Perfectly situated at the beginning of the marine park, although a bit 'far from Watamu.
The morning low tide is truly spectacular! The beach of white sand reef, stretches of sand in the sea, forming natural pools of water where the colors contrast with the dazzling white sand: the blue and green to shades of blue and understood verdeacqua with, on background, the waves of the reef.
At high tide in the afternoon, we preferred the pool: very nice, with sea view, clean, excellent for swimming until late evening.
There are two beaches, one facing the pool, with music / entertainment, and one on the left, more peaceful. The slightly elevated position allows you to fully appreciate the view.

But if there is not Kenya safari!
After searching for news on the Internet and various contacts, we have decided to agree with Jammy: it seemed as reliable as we had submitted (leaning against an agency of Malindi), convenient, had always responded promptly and very courteously to our e-mail requesting information.
Encountered on our arrival in Watamu, we readily agreed and planned our safari: 3 full days per visit to Tsavo East, Ngutuni the night safari, Amboseli, with minibus (max 6 people) and a driver.
We will not go into the specifics of cost, but we want to emphasize that Jammy was very competitive compared to that proposed by the resort (and this without taking anything with professionalism, attention to our needs, quality of the places where we stayed)
There was some doubt, however, before departure, a bit 'of concern, but during the three days of safari everything went as planned, there were absolutely no problems. All very satisfied. It 'was an unforgettable experience!
We have accompanied Jammy and Piro (the driver) were excellent. Watch out, timely, friendly, unobtrusive but always available. This is why we recommend them to anyone who wants to go on safari in Kenya! (Hensonkatana@yahoo.com)
They are two very nice and experienced guides, which soon becomes friends who know the place well and are able to find the hidden animals.
The fact that in them is very important: first "4 eyes experienced better than 2" to spot the animals (the cheetah was discovered thanks to Piro), also in this way the driver can remain more focused on driving, especially while on the road we took advantage of Jammy to chat and learn more about this country.

With them we have seen very many animals.
In Tsavo East (characterized by a hilly, very green, with few plains, where it affects the special "red earth"): gazelles, impalas, gazelles, giraffe, dik dik, zebras, giraffes, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, the beautiful "red "and especially the lions, who dined with a buffalo.
At Ngutuni, small private park, a charming night safari elephants, giraffe, hyena, jackal, marabu and in the morning near a buffalo in a mud puddle.
The Amboseli offers a panorama more than suggestive: a boundless plain, 360 °, a vast savanna, sometimes marshy, with features acacia trees, dominated by the imposing snow-capped cone of Mount Kilimanjaro. A show priceless: the journey worth the effort! And many elephants here ... "gray", giraffes, birds, baboons, lions, hyenas, wildebeests, hippos, cheetah attack than exciting to a group of Thompson's gazelles. Visit a Masai village.

It 's true! Kenya remains the heart: for its beaches, the colors of the sea, landscapes, animals, but remains above the people, always friendly and smiling, which surprisingly can speak Italian and know a little 'of them are children , you cheer, running their eyes are huge.
So we would be told, many considerations or comments, the above is only a brief summary of our trip: a vacation in these places certainly is an unforgettable experience. Everyone can live and treasure of so many emotions. Enjoy your trip!
