South African Air Lines flight, leaving from Milan at 23, go up, we start on time, and as always, when I get to Kenya, a strange calm comes over me, so I go to sleep happy. We land in Nairobi. I have already prepared all the modules are the first to go, viaaaaa down the stairs, to pick up the luggage has not arrived ...!! I head to the counter, fill out the required form, and go out!
JOHN, IN2KENYA, Sketty with the driver, are waiting for me. Way to the hotel that JOHN booked me for the day in Nairobi. The Kahama, very nice, comfortable rooms, you can also eat well!

NAIROBI - LAKE NAKURU

We depart from Nairobi in the morning, after crossing the city, chaotic, full of life, cars whizzing by, palaces. Here we take the road to Nakuru. The morning is cool, even more! The road begins to climb, climb, climb. Every time I fall asleep. Then I open my eyes and ... FOG!
FOG IN THE PINES! the scenery is fantastic, green colored. First stop, stop at the View Point, a share 2.140mt high, well, I believe that I was cold! We stop to admire the great Rift Valley, which opens up and welcomes us below us. Very nice! We continue the journey, including several awakenings and naps, the road starts to descend, on our left Lake Naivasha. Then behold, we come to the city of Nakuru. The cross and that is before us, the entrance to LAKE NAKURU NP short stop, while among the branches of acacia trees, we see the lake, with its flamingos! Happy monkeys are entertaining a school field trip. They run, hop, approach. And it is a constant shouting, laughter of children! JOHN reminds us, we enter the park! Beginning of the first game drive, on the shores of the lake as we head to our lodge for lunch. And on the road, before climbing the hill where the lodge is ... this is the first rhinoceros!! The heart stops, I did not think to see it! If this is the beginning, well, fantastic! The LAKE NAKURU lodge is on a hill overlooking the lake, rooms with beds with duvet, wow! After a good meal, a little 'rest and a shower, ready for the second game drive! We begin to descend the hill in the distance, buffaloes, zebras, and a group of rhinos are 8! But the real surprise is waiting for us near the banks of the lake! A huge white rhino, which is burning and slowly approaching the shore, where a buffalo's resting! And 'huge, peaceful walks, is a force of nature. So closely do you realize that if only we wanted ... fore! but it is quiet, we go next, the photographer from every angle. Still do not believe it. Our safari continues. We enter the forest of acacias, 3 lionesses and behold, a Rothschild giraffe! with the long tongue that eats the tender leaves. It 'amazing, and here in Nakuru is one of the few places where you can see! The sun begins to decline, after a stop by the lake to admire the flamingos, and the hundreds of pelicans, we head towards our lodge but ... but here, among the branches, on rocks along the way a appears and disappears great leopard!! Accompany him in his quest for a stretch of road. Before disappearing among the rocks, then here it is again. I do not do photos, I'm too busy to follow him, to see the elegant movements!
