Watamu, Kenya: A META NOT MISS! The name of this small village is about to sweet people! ASK AN Beach Boys and respond like that!

We left me and my boyfriend on 5/12/07 from Rome Fiumicino to incoming Mombasa.Ci wait two hours before arriving in bus-Watamu, the impact of roads is a bit 'strong for those who come first time in Africa.
COMING SOON: We expect a small procession of children in front all'Aquarius (our hotel) are asking us sweets and clothes, they are nothing short of fantastic but if you bring something from Italy would be better to save for those who genuinely need it, also because the children who are out of the resorts do not go to school for beggar clothes or food to resell too .... Ask the Beach Boys ...

The Aquarius is also beautiful and great, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is very nice except the Italian animators at the time of our arrival implement a work of coinvincimento for the purchase of several trips, putting a bad light on the Beach Boys, calling them as unreliable and dangerous. Most false!

Dida has 23 years, is married and has a girl named Francesca 3mesi, Salim does not know how old she is because it is an orphan. Two boys reliable, likeable and availability.All. Are always accompanied by other friends: Bob, Drums and Thursday. DEPARTURE FOR Tzav EST: Wake up 5:00 am, breakfast, accompanies us Salim, good leadership has the sight of a hawk! We have a trip of a couple of hours on a road full of holes! As you enter the park once we spot gazelles, antelopes of land and water, ostriches (the whole family), fox, hippos, giraffes, zebras and buffaloes. By lunchtime lead us to the hotel which is inside the park, the Aquarius will take you to stay out! The Elephant Lodge is a charming, full of birds from 1000colori changing, the tents are spacious, comfortable and clean, immediately close the zippers otherwise the insects take possession of the tent!

ORE 15.00 MASAI departure for the village, they call from 5 to 10 euro to enter but it's worth, they are all very friendly and hospitable Salim translates all our questions to the head of the tribe that welcomes us into her hut made of cow dung ( does not stink and it is cool!), they also waste no time in wanting to sell necklaces, bracelets .... Everyone on the bus is in search of the lion. We can only see 2leonesse with puppies, beautiful. After many elephants, zebras and even giraffes, the dick dick, guinea fowl, baboons and a cobra.

DAY 2: Wake up at 5.00, full breakfast and hunting of animals, we see up close a crocodile that has just had a fierce battle. Return to Watamu, on the way we stopped in several villages where we see the real Africa, the one with the hunger of children, here we leave clothes, notebooks and pens; see them smile and thank you is the most rewarding of the entire trip.

Day 3: rest, sea and sun for the morning, afternoon and Dida companions lead us in the beach of Blue Bay to give the bananas to the monkeys, attention to when an African saying that the post is nearby, they must walk everywhere! POLE POLE!

DAY 4 SARDINIA 2 (SAFARI BLUE), leaving just 8.30 from the beach of Blue Bay. We accompany Tony Manero, Bob and Karis (is deaf and dumb, adorable!) And altri.Tempo beautiful, we see the fish Juve with whom we do the bathroom. We approach the Bariera reef where we are surrounded by dolphins perform jumps beautifully. Unforgettable! Suddenly we arrive, a paradise! The boat stops near this stretch of sand which forms Sardegna 2, we make the bathroom, the boys prepare the lunch of: coconut rice with octopus, grilled lobster and king prawns fish and potatoes, fruit will and coffee! Malindi: Salim took her back to us, we come to the factory after 20min.Visita wood, interesting part of the processing, the timber market never ends. The city is too chaotic, Salim advises us not to go down is too dangerous. We all listen to him!

We stayed at Watamu until 23/12/07 and leave was a massacre of tears from us and from them! We recommend not to go to Kenya as Christmas approaches, the hotel was almost empty and we could not make other excursions as mangroves and the golden beach it did not reach an adequate number to leave. Already the week of 5 / 12 to 12/12/03 was more populated by tourists. It 'been a great experience where we left my heart, and now makes us understand what the Mal d'Africa.

We were always accompanied by these guys just to go to Mama Lucy to buy water. Were excellent guides, able to explain every little thing, and especially good company that can give items that tour operetor like Eden, the Valtour, the Condor ..... if dream.
Bellissimo is also the center of Watamu, where you can see the bar, cinema and various shoe shops. I recommend to greet everyone, we take a lot from children to senior citizens!
Mound is another country where even here we find the real Africa, where Thomas lives father of three children, is widowed and has a beach boys. Here we have moved many pens, notebooks, clothes and soaps. See children excited to receive a pen makes you realize how lucky we can be and how we should complain less.

IMPORTANT! I want to let you know that all Beach Boys working for travel agencies, giving themselves the same insurance that guarantees the Aquarius and other resorts.
