It was a bit 'I had to return to Kenya, the last time I was a bit' disappointed, luck (let's call it), I smiled a lot and during the safari I had seen very little, maybe the heat but the animals had preferred to stay covered in shadow. My friend Mohamed (many know him as a Somali Abdi Kalla) several times invited me to come back, I would have organized the safari that he is a guide with all the trappings of permits, and he promised that he would take me on safari personally. So I decided why Kenya is fascinating, even after only one visit is taken from what everyone knows as the pain of Africa. In August I took my leave and I left the target Jacaranda, Watamu, Flight of the Neos, as usual, flawless, beautiful aircraft, friendly staff, served at all points. Upon arrival, waiting for my friend, waiting for transfer to Jacaranda where there was room in my house Lamu, on the beach. I spent a couple of days relaxing on the white beaches of the Indian Ocean, corrallina walks on the reef at low tide in search of the many forms of marine life, and so here is a beautiful puffer fish that inflates when you take it in hand, various types of starfish, coral and much more .. Already on the beach is surrounded by a crowd of kids ... the beach boys ... all trying to procure customers for the various agencies of the place, arrange your safari, in general, I have known many, are good guys, but this time I did a safari with my friend Mohamed. And so here we are, therefore, the fateful day, woke up at 5 am, a fleeting lunch together and starting to fellow safari with my friend John and the driver towards Tsavo East. around 7:30 we arrive, we stop and we tend to see the crocodiles on the riverbank, it makes me walk a lot avvicianere .. How do you see come out of the water, first one, then two, then more and more, soon you must be careful to look to move dapperttutto. We share this time and are delighted John seems like a good Formula One driver of the slopes of the bush .. know where to take us, where there are pools where there are animals that go to water .... And here walking giraffes, antelopes, ostriches, male and female, many elephants, zebras, gazelles, hippos .... Never seen so many animals! But the best is yet to come, we run into a stretch where the cheetahs usually go hunting but we arrived late, the wildlife has already manifested in his relentless and savage grandeur inevitable. Cheetahs have seized their prey, and feasted sumptuously in the distance we see them leave but ns. guides do not despair, let's quickly making a wide turn and behold, later rincrociamo cheetahs, three, slowly and majestically in a straight line towards the runway and you are put in front of us sometimes turning to look at us with curiosity and we slowly behind them to make pictures ... my friend Mohamed calls all via radio in a few minutes jeeps and vans begin to arrive from all sides, we were alone appears to be in New York, we get away to other places ... We want to go see the lions .. We arrive and there they quietly idling in the shade of the trees, they ate them, too, near the mangled carcass of a buffalo. We approach here a lot but no walk, it is not safe ... indeed it is definitely not recommended!
Starting all go to lunch at a beautiful lodge, Masai to the camp, the nomads of the savannah, with the elephant dung in their homes, their dances, their formidable jump .... Late in the afternoon we continue the way back, we encounter many animals yet, monkeys, even elephants, warthogs ... It is evening we return, we expect the next day safari to the marine park, an oasis of unspoilt and protected .....
I'm elated, excited so I speak with my friend, or better, he talks to me, told me several times of his life, which makes the effort to carry on the family in a place where you pay very little and so did the ' idea of sponsoring, and we made a site (www.safari-Kenya.it) where those who want to learn can do a safari with him ... I can only say that you will not regret, for his kindness and fairness but sopprattutto for his professionalism ...
