Trip to Watamu in the company of the nice beach boys

We left for Kenya on 31/8/2007, we landed in Mombasa and then after two hours of bus we arrived, just in Watamu.
The structure that housed it was the Barracuda Inn, which is also a nice complex, about thirty bungalows situated between walkways in thick vegetation, the problem is that management is nothing short of scandalous.
The management of the Barracuda Inn is really painful, the food of poor quality, the deckchairs on the beach fall to pieces or more, there is not even an umbrella!
As is done in Africa to have no umbrellas on the beach?
Also you could even arrange to remove the algae from the beach.
But apart from this sore point, as soon as you arrive in Watamu we decide to take a walk on the beach and we suffered hounded by boys, who in minimum time with smiles, jokes and a lot of sympathy we fought for.
Dash are MOMO, of which we had already heard either personally or via the internet through friends who had done tours with them.
We have proposed a package that included 2 days of excursions and a night safari in Tsavo East safari blue and a trip to Malindi.
As for the safari me and my friend Paola Tsavo East we have chosen but if you could choose other parks such as Maasai Mara and Amboseli with more days in the bush.
We stayed at the "YOU Lodge, a beautiful structure in the bush where you can choose to stay in rooms or in tents equipped with super bath.
We slept in tents and it was really a nice experience, hear the noise from inside the birds and nature all around.
After a few days Momo and Dasha have planned the safari blue, whereas the alternation of high and low tide, a boat trip which provides for entry to the marine park and a little 'snorkeling where possible.
Again with the Beach Boys have also made trips to the island of love and a little beach called dumb "sardinia 2" (I find it ridiculous to colonize with improbable names some local Italian ...), places actually beautiful with crystal clear water and white sand.
On those occasions we had lunch on the beach, lobster, shrimp, swordfish .. all simply cooked on a grill, really good (contrary to what the Barracuda Inn offers daily!).
All boat trips were made with the DOLPHIN SAFARI'S MOHAMMED whose captain has proved very kind and disponibilissimo.
The turn in Malindi was pretty disappointing, "disgraced" by the Italians who imported tons of small bars, restaurants and cafoneria next to a scenario of so much misery.
One evening we went to a beach party at the Rosada in Malindi, was like being in a room combed the promenade of Rimini, unassuming style was almost in Viale Ceccarini, where cocktails cost almost as much in Italy.
Obviously the place run by Italians.
At Watamu another beach boy, whose name is often accompanied FARA us to "come back" disco bar very nice outdoor tables, dance floor, and hip hop reggaeton, attended by both white and from local, open to all 'Alba.
We also went to an orphanage near the village of Mound only a short distance from Watamu (we always go on foot accompanied by PEACE ALI 'two other lovely beach boys), where we left pens, notebooks, pencils, erasers that we had brought down' Italy knowing that in some countries, the Registry is expensive and not essential to the education of children.
Really with these guys we are really good!
At Watamu we often go out to dinner (not to be repetitive but the buffet menu for the Barracuda Inn is scarce and poor quality), the restaurant at the hotel Mapanga Aquarius is really good, quite sophisticated but delicious with affordable prices.
Even the pizza is not bad considering a world away from Vesuvius!
Then we went also to Jambo, local restaurant in the center of Watamu where you eat good fish on a veranda overlooking the town.
The last few days we have spent lazily on the beach.
We intend to return is largely thanks to those guys who showed us a beautiful country and made our holiday unforgettable.
