We started to Malindi January 1, 2010 and we stayed at the Flamingo Villas, a small resort just south of Malindi. Although they are not lovers of holiday villages here the weather was pretty familiar, thanks also to the Italian (Stella di Roma) who delighted every dinner with Italian dishes cooked at home our (amazing lasagna!). From Italy, thanks to a friend (Lille Jack Bikers, known locally vigevanese with Tex-Mex), we have contacted Nero Omar, our guide made us live beautiful emotions during our first African safari short and intense. We saw lots of animals due to its driving experience and his dedication to this work. We crossed the Tsavo East park, staying at Voi Wild Life Lodge (excellent), and the next day we started toward the Amboseli, where we stayed at the camp Kibo tented camp on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, where you sleep in tents decorated with all the comforts of a hotel room (bed, shower and toilet included). Talking with other tourists we saw that not all excursions (especially those charged with the "classic" tour operators) allow to live and see the reality of Africa. By Omar emotions are insured, we passed through and visited Maasai villages in Kenya and contact with children and people who put these poor souls but unique, full of smiles, colors that have made us understand how these people, unlike us Westerners are solar as their land. Omar took us to his village where he lives with all his people (his father is the village head), half Christian and half Muslim, in a peaceful civil promiscuity. With him, we also made the blue safari, a trip to the bellissisma Malindi Marine Park where, exploiting the phenomenon of low tide you can stand on an atoll to see the starfish and to enjoy a superb grilled lobster, shrimp and of 'excellent sailfish.
