The marvelous Madagascar: my adventures between lemurs, jungle and sea

It 's my first trip "DIY" and more in Africa.Devo admit it's been there, my friend introduced me to the pleasure of traveling on his own and never stop to thank you for this.

We arrive in Tana August 13, overnight at Sakamanga. The next day visit to the zoo, very nice in a large park, a great starter for excursions to the parks. In the evening delicious dinner made from prawns in restaurant.
On 15 aogosto starts the adventure of the "bush taxi" vans where you travel and crushed
leave when the medium is full.
Come to the east to Andasibe stage where I was staying in the bungalows of Feony Ala in the forest.
Beautiful and wonderful place, but attention because the evening is very cold!
Two excursions: a night in with a few sightings but very scenic and a Day
nice to see the Indri, with its characteristic call. Then we return to Tana and continue our journey along the road highland: the RN7 and stop at Antsirabe. We stopped two nights in the city of pousse-pousse learning at the end of a liking to the friendly driver-carriers, despite their intrusiveness, and make a beautiful mountain biking lake Tritriva.
So we continue to Fianarantsoa and there decide to take a car (with driver) with a small agency (a bungalow in front of the station). Ranofama beautiful hike to the park, full of sightings of lemurs. Our plan then plan to go east again to reach the Indian Ocean Manakara.
Here you have the feeling of being truly lost in the middle of the world. Very nice canoe trip on the channel panganales and visit a typical village with plantations of vanilla, the domestic product.
A Manakara awaits us the train will take us back to Fianarantsoa and will be a fantastic adventure. The train departs with ten hours late due to a fault, and therefore, unlike the programs we have covered almost all the 150 km from Fiano Manakara in the dark with only the light of fireflies to keep us company. Each stop (one every ten minutes!) Is a party, fireworks, children selling all kinds of groceries including all possible recipes you can do with bananas, people who continue to go up and down. A unique experience.
So get at 4 am in Fiano, a hotel opens the door for luck.
The next day early rising and a return to solgiorno Tana where we stop a couple of days by a visit to the funny lemur park, a zoo full of all lemurs (semi-domestic) or that we are not able to see / photograph on her shoe parks.
Then on August 25 starts the second part of our holiday where we planned to do a lot more relaxed (ie sea) and less adventure.
With a domestic flight and then landed at the airport of Diego Suarez in the air we decide not to go immediately but Diego to visit a small fishing village reported by Bradt Guides (our faithful companion).
After a fierce bargaining with taxi drivers who feel strong that we are practically in the middle of a barren desert destinazione.Ci leave us to fall in love once the water is crystal clear at last the sun beats hot. We find a lovely spot on a beach run by a French family: three stanzettine delicious side with the ristoraante.
We stop four days between grigliatone blue sea fish and excellent rum fruit (real peopria specialty).
Then on August 29 return to Diego Suarez, very characteristic and animated city where practically asleep at the home of a nice gentleman.
From there avvicianiamo to our final destination: Nosy be, but before we grant you a fantastic day: rent a jeep (always with a guide) that we tend to see drugs tsingy red (strange rock formations created by erosion) and the sacred lake Anivorano where we see a crocodile in the wild attracted by our noise. In fact in this lake, they used coconuts to make sacrifices of Zebu with songs and dances and then just hear noises emerge: for me it was an indescribable feeling. Then we camp two days in a bungalow of wood and straw to explore the reserve dell'Ankarana. This is a more demanding of the previous visit and I admit that among mosquitoes, mice and Snout I often wanted to be in a resort.
However we have two beautiful escorioni. The first hard ten hours between likeable crowned lemurs, ficus gianteschi and overtime tsngy gray, perhaps less beautiful than red but they stretch for miles square in an extraordinary lunar landscape.
The second excursion is a half-day, where we went in a huge cave and experience the thrill of being in the company of thousands of giant bats called flying foxes.
Then allocated again by taxi brousse allavolta island of Nosy be, where we will end only a couple of days.
The island is more than all the other tourist places where we were first put together but it has very beautiful beaches.
By Segal an excursion to Nosy Komba and Nosy Tanikely, boat trip, snorkeling breathtaking (for the first time I see a turtle!)
Then another internal flight takes us back to Tana.

I tried to be as succinct as possible but there would be many stories to tell for every day travel on the beautiful island of Madagascar, particularly on the people always smiling and helpful, despite the great poverty, especially in the capital, is clearly .
I recommend everyone run backpacker this beautiful island, we must point out that in fact we never found in difficulty or danger.
Does cold weather at night so you need to bring a battery though, as we arrived during their winter, although the Malagasy in this sense it seemed a little exaggerated (like people around with scarves and hats). Also unfortunately, the days are very short, but I think it was good to have arrived at this time, otherwise I think, especially the humidity of the forest would die from the heat.
For the flight (Air France with a stopover in Paris) we paid 1,480 euros each plus another 380 for the two domestic flights (dear !!!). For the rest is extremely economical, especially the stay (we stayed in small hotels but still decent). The movements are strangely more expensive than overnight and eat in Madagascar because the fuel is very expensive. However keep in mind that we paid about 800 euros per head for the rest, and 24 days of stay, we have not really done anything missing, including three days of rental car driving on 24 and 24 hours a day to rent an SUV.
