Fantastic trip to Morocco: classic tour of the Imperial Cities
Classic Tour Imperial Cities, and we chose Francorosso tourist and the tour proved a good choice for good value for money. The hotels were the height of the proposal, including the variety of meals on offer, choosing to spend more on the tour category and the Prestige is in my opinion misplaced, considering the fact that the hotel there is very little . The tour included visits to Marrakesh, Fez, Meknes, Rabat and Casablanca. We start from Marrakech. Located in an oasis at the foot of the High Atlas, is full of green, orange and cypress trees, olive trees, palms, oleanders and Boungaville. You immediately notice the color of the houses and all buildings, what is called the "rouge Marrakech," gives a sense of order in place that in some ways is very chaotic. The dominant landmark is the Koutoubia mosque, famous for its minaret visible from a distance of 70 meters. The famous Jemaa el Fna is something unique, gateway to Medina, with its maze of alleys and lanes, which should be pedestrian, but where one must pay attention to motorcycles that appear suddenly in every direction. The square, crowded at any time of day from Arabs, Berbers, Africans and tourists retained the flavor of the past, with acrobats, snake charmers. During the day is a huge market and the stalls in the evening giving way to booths where you can eat food prepared on site. The evening traffic in this area is impressive, cross the road becomes a business, including cars, horse-drawn carriages, donkeys, bicycles, scooters whizzing no particular direction. Marrakech offers some spectacular gardens, those of the Menara or the Palais Bahia, the gardens Majorelle (restored by Yves Saint Laurent). Remarkable then Tombs Saadian, Dar Si Said Museum, the ancient medersa (university or boarding school student, if you prefer). Interesting excursion from Marrakech to Ourika valley, penetrating into a green valley, with a backdrop of the Atlas, where you can still see snow. The impact with the reality of small clusters of the valley is strong and involving. In Marrakech Imperial Holiday hotel we stayed.
