This year we also provided a winter vacation ... and so we decided to make New Year in Morocco .. the warmth! We start as always with our campers for France, Spain, Gibraltar and take the ship to close .. we finally arrived and we head to explore the area .. that is the only settendrionale Tangier is noteworthy, although we understand now that pulls air, and we decide to go, given the high rate of crime due to people not just that there are cultured eheh! Fez is a very different kind, very nice, seems a typical Arab town with its mosques and medina (the old part of town). We visit the royal palace and also here, as in Turkey we remain fascinated by the goodness of people and were struggling to offer us tea or some local product! After leaving Fes, we move, but not much to visit the small town of Moullay Idriss, important because of the same founder who was the founder of the first imperial dynasty in Morocco .. it is a place of pilgrimage for the whole country, and we almost seem out of place! Salute qusto pretty village and moved to Meknes, famous for the Bab Mansour, a huge front door entrance to the city .. ada is really close to vist more beautiful! We encounter in the early suk ... and my father wasted no time in getting noticed, managing to be one step ahead from a seller for the entire market until this lease is not exhausted and we sell the goods at a bargain price ... we wanted to cheat! is now to digest the coast ... we look forward to us a swim in the ocean! Obvious for the capital Rabat .. which is the capital, but not absolutely the first place to visit, as well as the Mausoleum of Mohamed theres very little, only qualke nice big door ... but after seeing one of Meknes, no probable will be at his level.
Casablanca is certainly more famous, not only for operations! Mosque of Hassan II, with the tallest minaret in the world (210 meters) is spectacular ... I have seen and you will see minarets .. but so great cabbage .. impressive. How impressive are its markets ... stalls everywhere, vendors selling quasiasi unimaginable thing on earth for 2 cloves ... virtually buy something even if you do not need anything! Now it's off to the desert .. but first, must see ... in Marrakesh! We admire its mosques and the large town square where needless to say the sellers emerge everywhere ... now is a duel between them and us ... who wins is the deal. The day slips away .. and the next day we spend in a visit to the mausoleum and mosque Kutubiya, which towers over the city for its great minaret .. strangely allowed inside mosques since many entry is allowed only to Muslims .. better so!
And now the desert, where we also apprestermo to celebrate the new year .. and its three steps we set: Merzouga, Erfoud and Rissani. Merzouga is a small town at the foot of the desert .. In fact we take the jeep and we advance towards the Sahara .. go on the dunes is spectacular, like having a ride on a comfortable Camel mostly calm that makes you even shaking! But the great thing was seeing the sunrise ... the sun rise is something difficult to tell, with rays that cover the bright yellow desert ... wow! A visit to Erfoud and fast enough to race Rissani, admiring the beautiful mosques and prepare for the new year ... in Bedouin tents to cook all meat and toast the new year will ... I seemed to be at home among friends! Time to enter the new millennium began our slow ascent to the Italian soil, through the spectacular valley of Ziz, a kind of canyon between the green oasis in the desert .. really nice to see! Our journey ends here .. for me it was my debut in African territory .... seemed in some ways of being in prehistoric times, given the lack of technology and ways of Moroccans, but to see them, appear to fare better if one of us!
