Accustomed to urban horizons very different, the first contact with the charms of Morocco for its colors and its traditional reality. The houses are scattered or bonded in small towns, leaving the visitor the opportunity to savor the horizon. In these places, the traditions, especially the Berber origin, are still in the daily lives and the time is marked by rites such as mint tea drunk with neighbors, and slow rhythms. A dip in the past, a past in which nature was an integral part of human life. The small houses of the Moroccan countryside are comfortable and inspired by women who are in charge of the housework; outside are bicycles and carts that are, for now, the main means of transport. Outside the normal tourist routes, the stop in this campaign from the red earth, is certainly a moment to savor a reality far removed from the images but intense. We have embarked in this region of Meknes with a little spirit of adventure, but above all a great desire to leave the normal circuits.
The local guides will explain the fact that the cultivation and pastoralism are the promises of development for the current monarchy in office. Agriculture is found in cereals and legumes, especially for everyday use, from the point of view of the main export products are sugar beet, flax, cotton and tobacco. Herding, particularly of sheep is very developed, we have often noted pastors sitting on the edge of roads intent to treat their flocks.
The region of Meknès-Tafilalet is one of the 16 that make up the monarchy in Morocco.

In this verdant countryside of the north we had the Paice to share the ritual of mint tea with a Berber family, which has opened the doors of their home: the lady of the house has been with the drink, with bread on which butter and spreads honey some domestic production. Intense flavors and unforgettable for a moment of calm in the frenzy ripped as ever. A snack certainly unusual and original for our habits. Under the roof in wood and straw, which covers part of the room where we sit and enjoy tea together and share the time, the sun filters through creating games of light and shadow. The smiling faces welcoming us into a pleasant moment that best meets the rules of hospitality.
Once again we have had confirmation that Morocco is actually many different and fascinating.
