Traveling traveling eight people plus two Italian guides on 4 jeep hired on the spot and equipped with curtains above and camping equipment.
Landed in Windhoek in the early morning we take our jeep and we headed north. For two days we visited the Etosha National Park seeing zebras, antelopes, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, cheetahs and other animals (unforgettable!).
Traveling north again we have come a quite challenging track that ran along the Kunene River bordering Angola to the Epupa waterfalls.
Since then, we went south through the villages of the Himba Kaokoland, stopping graffiti carvings at Twyfelfontein, dell'Ugab River valley, turning around the Brandberg Massif, and finally reaching the Atlantic Ocean on the Skeleton Coast.
Still south along the coast to see the marine reserve at Cape Cross with lots of sea lions. We stayed two days in Swakopmund and we did a little 'driving on sand dunes facing the ocean Walwis Bay.
Last stop at Sesriem to the towering dunes of Sossusvlei where we saw the sunrise before returning again in the capital Windhoek to do the last shopping before departure.
The trip has been challenging but exceptionally good for the variety of things to see. We drove 3650 km with stops from 100 to 450 km per day. We stayed 7 nights in a tent and the rest in a hotel or lodge.
Minimum temperatures at night have gone from 9 to 13 ° C and the maximum days from 16 to 29 ° C, humidity from 20 to 89%.
