Bororo Tuareg. My trip in Niger
The spectacle which I witnessed in the days spent in Niger have sparked in me a wonderful set of emotions so as to be difficult if not impossible to describe in a story. For this reason we write only the main part of the journey, which is why I went to Niger, while leaving to each one of you can imagine what I tried. For some time I knew that during the month of September, un'etnia of Niger, the Borore, organized a ceremony that allows girls to choose their own man (husband or just a lover): The Gerewol or "feast of beauty." In one of the most desolate areas of the planet (the strip on the border between the temperate zone to the south and the north shaara) Borore various tribes (nomads) gather to celebrate the "beauty", dancing for days.
The difficulty was, of course, how to find the forum for considering that there is a calendar indicating the day and place where the feast takes place. The only thing I knew was that the most likely was the bush near a village called Ingall, 200 km south of Agadez. Through un'organizzanione Italian, specializing in travel "special" we arrived in Niamey, where a contact of the local took us to Ingall .....
