Seychelles ...... A MYTH TO DISCREDIT!
We are back from honeymoon on 07/08/04 after spending 6 nights at Mahè at Coco D'Or, 5 nights at La Digue Lodge, and 7 nights at the Paradise Sun in Praslin.
We chose because Turisanda recommended by our agency as it was to be a tour operator very serious and effective, our experience shows this is not at all.
We wanted our. honeymoon was unforgettable, and in some ways it was certainly ...... but only in the negative.
The spending figure (8.000,00 euro) we wonder what is served. We found a very rough sea and full of algae, very different from the one photographed on catalogs.
The hotels have been disappointing to say the least.
The only beach that has truly earned was Anse Lazio on Praslin here have spent the last 5 days. and fortunately I came back home with memories in the eyes of this' last place ..... but everyone I ask an opinion on the Seychelles place .... I will change a thousand times better to the Maldives or the Caribbean.
Rightly, there will always be those who want to experience and then I would recommend with all my heart not to book by the tour operators but to fend with the DIY. This will save a lot and at least one place where you do not like you are free to change without losing a digit. The best time to go is the month of April and in October or so at least we have assured the residents.
These were the ns. and our hotel. Impressions:
A Mahè at Coco D'Or there was a buffet that looked like more of a table with little choice in the restaurant of a hotel. We were close to the beach of Beau Vallon very big, but nice and rough seas rich in plankton. Then we have advised Anse Major and after an hour of hiking we found a beach in "black" dirty fuel
Mahè we rented a car so that it can run but all the places visited, there was no beach that I liked.
A La Digue, we found a rough sea and algos but at least the Lodge was the best we have stayed, where the cleanliness, the courtesy of staff and food were impeccable. Sfiga wanted when we went to Anse Source D'Argent, the famous beach where they filmed the spot of Bilboa, there was a crazy wind and it was impossible to stay on the beach, because you could not even speak without eating sand. The photos have come good but the memory is not the same.
The top, however, we found PARADISE SUN, here we really wonder how to sell gold to this place where the cleaning, rudeness of staff and the food has touched the highest levels.
We understand that the geko are part of nature, the spiders that live in the middle of the green and there are no glass windows to enter undisturbed, but I find cockroaches walking around the room, the mice or better pantegane (given the size) that are the lady on the veranda and worms in sweet tea-time ..... believe that this really has little to do with nature, but by cleaning the place.
In 7 nights I managed to change the sheets when I personally removed from the bed, otherwise they would not ever change.
We paid extra for having the best room and found the worst, as being the closest to the sea, they should also provide an anti-gas masks to be able to sleep without being sick to the perfume of slime that completely invaded the entire beach front. And last but not least came all the smells of the kitchen which was a few meters ....
The beach was literally invaded by algae, as you can see from the photos attached.
Frankly for me heaven is something else, I was in the Maldives, the Caribbean, I visited several islands (Cuba S. Domingo, Barbados, Guadeloupe, Tortola ....) but all the travel, this was truly the worst. It was our HONEYMOON !!!!!!
