A brief vacation in Tunisia for the first New Year meeting
Short stay in Tunisia during the meeting in the beginning of the year. A total stay of 5 days with the second and the last two dedicated to leisure and the "journey"
Reference guide to paper and the numerous sites on Tunisia to describe the beauty of the region and I concentrate more on personal experiences:
ACCOMMODATION The residence to stay at La Marsa (quarter of an hour's drive from Tunis). 5 stars out there even comes close for private travel, but which have a standard peri business trips. 5 stars anyway stra-deserved for the architecture of the structure, quality of service to the kindness of the staff. Inside the hotel you can relax in the beautiful spa with hammam, sauna, massage and thalassotherapy. A bar with live music enlivens the evenings and three restaurants (a typical Tunisian, an international buffet and an a) of exceptional quality alone are worth the visit.
EATING In the three restaurants or other restaurants where we dined sempretrovato I have a full kitchen and totally pleasant. In particular, the Tunisian restaurant of the hotel and the restaurant La Falaise (fish specialties) close to Sidi Bou Said I was really impressed.

PERSONAL CONSIDERATIONS I was pleasantly struck by the kindness, the hospitality and friendliness of the Tunisian people. Under no circumstances have I ever noticed the hostility that, for well known reasons internazionmali tensions between our cultures, I feared to meet. Tunisia is a beautiful country rich in history and natural beauty that offers an unforgettable experience of confrontation with a culture so distant from us but at the same time so close to us.
