Tunisia with motorbike
March 2010 with my bike I leave for Genoa, with parts of my Yamaha 600 to take the 91, all major items which could, by the total weight of 5 kg and transport in a small backpack. The meeting is for the 15 to the port of Genoa, the van motorizzonti that will bring my bike in his belly is already waiting for me. 2 are the bikes that combined fiat houses, while the other 7 bikes go up on the ferry on its own wheels and with their owners on board.
The voyage to Tunis takes about 22 hours.
The following day, after having knowledge of all members of the group, we go down and walk a few hundred kilometers of transfer, where we sleep at night in a hotel in Sousse. From there the next day my bike starts to go on its own wheels.
The landscapes in the days to follow are very dry and the sand is predominant, camels and sheep to go go, I'm the slowest of the group, the other bikes were all large-displacement BMWs except for a Kawasaki road. always walk along roads including the one built by Rommel the Desert Fox, on the border of Algeria.
The climate is coolness, but the sun is very nice, I put the wheels even on a salt lake, very impressive.
(The days pass quickly, it is always so when the trip is beautiful, in the blink of an eye I find myself in Genoa, the only drawback on my bike the chain broken and then replaced in Kairouan).
