Listed among the seven wonders of the world, Victoria Falls are the largest mass of water falling on the planet. The roaring waters of the Zambezi are thrown from a height of 100 meters into a deep abyss two kilometers giving a fascinating display of sheer strength. During his long journey thousands of miles through the heart of Africa, the legendary Dr. David Livingstone first sighted by the Zambian side of the glorious majesty of Victoria Falls. Crossed the mighty Zambezi on board a big "Makor" (a canoe carved into a tree trunk), operated by a local paddle with which overcame the perils of the rapids that were between him and this great wonder of nature. Facing the incredible spectacle of the waters of the Zambezi, which is thrown from a height of 100 meters, was so amazed with the call by the name of his queen, Victoria.

Helicopter
Dall'eliporto Victoria Falls you can go hiking around 15 minutes flying over Victoria Falls.

Rafting
Victoria Falls' still the perfect place for those seeking discharge of pure adrenaline. Rafting on the Zambezi, starting just below the falls is an unforgettable experience. 19 rapids between the 4th and the 6th grade to go in one day.
Seven in the morning, after signing a release in which it assumes all responsibility for death began the briefing to the ground: Obey the command of helmsman: left, right, go, go, go, in, out, when the dinghy rovescerà it is raccoglietevi in fetal position and let the current, if you encounter a rock brought up on, if you encounter a crocodile ......., attention to rocks and eddies, if you sucked the vortex do not be panic, wait a minute and you'll have to re-emerge, if not resurgence wait another minute .......... cooosa? Do not panic? Under tons of water? But who is this? From that comes the world? And the crocodiles, there are the crocodiles? Yes there are, but they are among a fast and the other, in the calm water, usually do not give any problem, usually this is, indeed, never heard of sfiga? The Gagliardo ends assure the prompt more dangerous, a sixth grade and turning, that the amicable process of the devil, will be passed on foot, on the banks of the River. There you have the ribs: We are in our eight more the helmsman, the "recovery" of the missing follows us in a kayak.
The briefing begins practice: left, right, in, OUT, and all are thrown into the water Gelida!
We left. First stretch of calm water, the river is impressive, tight between two steep walls of rock. I do a strip of white foam in the background, is the first rapid, the boiling pot, a name, a program. We approach slowly while the guide explains how we, what we should do and then I do not know what else. I do not have time to realize, the spasm would shake the rope and the raft in a moment literally rushed inside to a liquid turbine, I do not see anything, the water is everywhere above and below me, I rip on, resist, l 'adrenaline is at its maximum, leave as free from rapidly releasing a cry of irrepressible joy and satisfaction. Only a woman was thrown out, the recovery, but this scene will be repeated at each rapid. It was only the first and even more difficult for us after several ribs will tip, and we must recover the survivors. The organization is still flawless with the kayak still for lk'assistenza close to the most dangerous eddies.
After a half-round discharge of adrenaline is calling for lunch, here ends the first part of the trail and more exhausted rieche effort to recover the top of the canyon. We have little time we have to move nell'Okawango and then give up the second part of the descent and the necessary video that would be ready only in late evening. While we follow the long straight road that leads us in the heart of Botswana, we still have a body in a good dose of adrenaline in the eye and the images of walls of water. Really great!
