The western part of Central is regarded as the Chinatown of Hong kong; area mastered by dusty streets, old buildings and a chaotic clamor of people always at work.
A walk in the streets of Hollywood Road, Tai Ping Shan streat, can be an extremely entertaining. (Photo 1)
I decide to visit this new cross-section of plants, as part of Hollywood Road and remain fascinated by the many antique shops that characterize the way, typically Chinese furniture, beautifully carved wooden statues that many traders, overlooking the street, invited me to observe more carefully despite the temptation is strong continuing.
The shop windows are full of typical objects, rugs, stamps, paintings, beautiful pots, and the atmosphere that reigns here is truly fascinating.
Within a modern art gallery, suddenly appeared, and I can take pictures, before I be asked to leave the camera at the entrance, a beautiful exhibition of paintings by Chinese authors. (Photo 2)
I continue ... I find myself in front of Man Mo Temple, one of the oldest in Hong kong, despite being small I remain impressed by its beauty and understand why it is considered so important.
Cross the red lacquered door and immediately comes over me a strong odor emanating from many coils of incense hang from the ceiling and can burn for weeks. (Photo3)
Inside is the statue of Man, the god of literature and officials, and Mo, the god of war.
The area is smoky and once again the atmosphere, data from light and drowned by the intense perfume, takes me away with your thoughts.
I leave a bid and continue my walk ...
Now, with the precise antique shops have replaced the junk shops, colorful and confused, here are wonderfully old buildings survived the time, with their wooden shutters and valuable carvings are a beauty to behold.
Are now in the heart of Sheung Wan, one of ups and downs ups and downs, the shops here take to diversify, there are many sellers of herbal medicine, miracle cures and color filters.
A small temple appears suddenly, I Tze Kwong Fook, a small, modest and poor decoration, however worthy to be visited. (Photo 4)
Arrived at the Hollywood Road Park, I stop here, I see older people playing cards, children joking, in a relaxed and quiet, just outside meet many street vendors and fortune tellers, vendors of benign fate for little money.
After reaching the Western Market ascending to fly on a wooden texture, there are numerous in this area, the race is cheap and allows you to see Hong kong Island so different again, I go upstairs and I sit in front, to enjoy the view better, we are many and are the only Western, this means of transportation, used mainly by locals, is fast and clean. (Photo 5)
I look at the streets clogged with traffic, I reluctantly left the tram, the bright light of advertising signs to replace those days, I start to get back to the pier in Kowloon where I have the hotel take the Star Ferry and I leave behind a show of Giant skyscrapers and gleaming.
