India, a great love, a great torment. With me a book, The twelve questions, with me and I introduced this earth, this world so far from everything I had seen before.
What, so far I have not done it all, traveling from Africa to North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, but my curious eyes and my unforgettable memories here, have felt so far from anything seen before ...... India is a universe where our land, how I loved her for all that I want in a trip away from home, diversity, traditions, history, nature, culture .... and cities, palaces, frescoes a thousand and one nights. In cities such as Udaipur you can lose between the maze of streets, looking for air majestic white walls of the Lake Palace and the city's buildings, Agra is a daydream .... Taj Mahal India ... and you think, Taj Mahal and six feet of something unique, you breathless and keep watching his enchanted minarets, its domes, its reflection in the water .... and you do not want more to go from there.
New Delhi, this is not a city. ... India is a universe in the universe. Chaotic city, huge interest in her heart, Delhi, with the imposing Red Fourt, its mosques, government buildings and its vast parks.
India, how I hated ....... I thought I had seen so far there, but I had not seen anything yet. Some realities are indescribable, the abandonment of people along the roads is appalling and the lump in my throat for all this misery around you never lets you down.
A country that runs two different speeds; high hopes for the future growth and progress for many, or rather, perhaps a few compared to all others. There is talk of 700 million people below the poverty line and the most heavily turning to India ... .. is that all these people just see it all ... .. you feel that presence, I feel the pain. I wondered for a fortnight women, children, men, to live on the edge of the road, in traffic among the most congested and smoke machines. Under a scorching sun, Well go .... Is under a shade cloth recovered here and at night sleep under the stars is not so bad ... ... but sooner or later reach the monsoon, for four months will only rain ... .. and then? What will they do?
Sometimes you even disarmingly dirt all around you, you're forced to walk on, to trample, sniffing until very end. ... Nowhere excluded, try to walk in the bazaar of Agra, 4 minutes walk from the Taj Mahal ....
The kitchen also has a vivid memory today. The local foods are children of a millenary tradition and specialties, from region to region, city to city, changing radically. The constant however is the fire emanating and let you in, super-spicy foods and spicy as you can not believe ... .. Tastes delicious but hot tongue and eyes in tears, for someone like me is not used to (I wonder who it is but ....) Real torture!
India, a country hospitable, kind and courteous. The evenings at a friend's house Chirag and Anay among my best memories with the family in full force, grandparents .... The newcomers.
I saw India, now I have really seen everything? I hope and believe not. How many places still to explore and how many people to know. It was a strong, important, unique and unrepeatable. ... after each trip, the suitcase is always fuller ... .. but there is still room ... ..
