Asiatic Tour, part 2/4: Macau, the asiatic Las Vegas

The second leg of my tour was Macau, a former Portuguese colony near just one hour by ferry from Hong Kong, so I did not think twice to put it in my trip, since I had read a day is enough to see it since also its small size. Macau looks like a city that is not more famous now for having been a former Portuguese colony, but its status as the Asian Las Vegas because of its numerous casinos, and the numbers who will be born soon ... despite however, its Portuguese influence is easily seen everywhere, written with double (or even triple in some cases: Chinese-Portuguese-English!) and various style buildings Lusitano, colorful and traditional European architecture.
Here is cooler than HK and the center is really small, but very pretty, with many stalls that sell everywhere, needless to say anything, especially food that I would hardly describe! The main attraction is the view of the ruins of St. Paul's Church, of which only the facade has been, really beautiful, if you think how could it be when the whole church .. but turning to the small town is very nice to see Chinese houses on one side and the Portuguese side, seem to be two cities in one! Well, do not miss a visit to the casino, there are many in the center, as the famous Casino Lisboa, Wynn or, but my favorite was the Venetian, in the wake of that in Las Vegas, you have to take a taxi because it is a bit far from downtown, but it pays a visit to the expectations if you love: huge, complete with a tower of San Marco, the gondolas and luxurious inside. what a sight! And before you go away a trip to 'Hard Rock Hotel has taken no not me, also because it is behind the Venetian ... before returning to the center of Macao quick view of the tower and turn at night, because even here bellssimo HK as everything is illuminated, and it filled with people, looks like a big party.
I close by saying that we do not miss anything else .. but if you're in the neighborhood, a day well spent, just to see something different than in China ....
