Malaysia and Singapore.. The rising economy of two important asiatic countries
Well ... .. what about the East does not just appeal to me but after shooting down my mental limit unnecessary, I realized that Asia is indeed a wonderful continent where you need to make at least once in their life.
How not to appreciate Malaysia, full of flowers and colors, different cultures and civilizations, a mix of religions and multirazialità. How not to fall in love with Singapore, splendid, magnificent in its opulence and standing on its skyscrapers that look at you with his nose up.
It was not an easy choice, especially because it was not the classic destination for honeymoon. But we could not come back satisfied and happy to have visited those places wonderful !!!!!!!!!
Let's go....
The trip starts early ... as early as 4 am we walk, we can expect a day's journey and the first plane to Rome, we must take soon.
Fiumicino To pass the time wandering around a bit but soon we realize that it's time to get to Terminal C for boarding on the 777 of Malaysia Airlines at 13.45.
By air there is just to sleep and then spend our time watching movies and playing playstation Kuala ... here we come!
Kuala Lumpur
When we landed at KLIA are 7 am local time and once we understand that time is not the best, in fact drizzling. You looked! Guidelines was not just simple, this airport is really futuristic and enormous. Eventually, after pòassato the immigration services, we head to baggage claim and then to the exit-kelamat where there waiting for our guide, Francesco, Italian Indian adopted by a priest when he was a child.
The hotel where we were booked is really wonderful, from our window we see the Petronas towers and the level of technology is impressive.
In the afternoon, Francis takes us around Kuala, we visit the royal palace of the Sultan, the war memorial, the National moschez, the central market. In the evening we go right under the Petronas but fatigue from jet lag and bad weather does not permit us to dwell at length, then after a quick dinner and go straight to bed.
Malacca
To arrive at
Malacca do about 2 ½ hours by car, the weather is very humid and luckily there is no sun, which allows us to walk around the city.
I do not think you can understand without going to
Malacca, Malaysia ... visit to the famous and even make a trip to one of the many colorful rickshaws running through the city.
Lunch is at a typical restaurant Babanogna, a race exists only in
Malacca and the Netherlands. Before returning to Kuala do a tour of Chinatown and we dedicate ourselves to a little shopping convenient shops within China.
Instead she spent the evening in a restaurant just below the Petronas ... this is the last night we were in Kuala much as possible and we want to store the image of the towers lit!
We leave for the tour to the north
Wake up early and after a wonderful breakfast at the hotel we meet with Francis.
The first leg of the tour is just outside Kuala, Batu Caves, a Hindu temple in the rock that is accessed after 273 steps inhabited by chimpanzees ... that adventure ascend! In this sanctuary, almost every day, take functions religious character, but the most impressive ones in which the largest number of believers (some of them to demonstrate their devotion to inflict corporal punishment), held earlier this year between January and February. Put back into the car, left for
Cameron Highlands. The road is very twisty, curves to no end and car sickness, but it's worth arriving to visit the falls and the homes of Aboriginal people. In the afternoon visit andimo BOH tea factory, something really beautiful. Plantations and tea plantations are the scanario of this area, the smell that comes to the nostrils and fresh and sweet like a cup of tea. Of course we stopped to picnic on a beautiful terrace of tea and cheese cake.
Stay in a typical colonial hotel in the mountains and for a change ... it rains hard!
Temples tour
After breakfast departure to
Penang, along the road we stop to visit the Sam Poh Tong Temple, in fact they are 3 temples carved into the rock, focussing on health turtles, fish and monkeys for the fortune for ' love. We also visit the town of Kuala Kangsar, the Mosque of Ubudiah and the Royal Palace and stop in Ipoh for lunch in a local restaurant.
Before arriving in
Penang, we visit the Temple of Ten Thousand Buddhas, one of the reclining Buddha and the Burmese. In the evening take a walk near our hotel where he keeps a local market is absolutely delicious and rich with a thousand souvenirs to buy!
Traveling to Sabah
Today we depart for
Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, where we wait nine days in relax in one of the most prestigious resorts in the country. Before going to the airport but we stop to visit the Fort Cornwallis, an old British fort well kept and pleasant to shoot.
Consider two aircraft,
Penang-Kuala-
Kota Kinabalu and Kuala. We arrive at the resort in the evening and have them understand that even the weather is not very forgiving. The rain in fact we welcome you!
We're back....
Nine days sound a lot, yet they are almost gone now and I would quickly find ourselves leaving for
Singapore.
These days at the Nexus in relaxing not forget some visits to the city of
Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, which is not great but offers some truly original ideas of shopping, and visiting the island of Mamutik for the truth a bit disappointing given that there remains nothing more than the magnificent coral reefs destroyed by bombs for fishing. is a bit sad to walk on the beach and be invested by the debris of coral!
To get to
Singapore we have to take two planes and when getting off the plane once we understand that we have come to another world ... welcome to the future!
Trip to Singapore
This city is breathtaking, is the ideal place in which we live, where to study and raise our children. Dianime ... that civilization is in line for two to Salur buses and subway stations seem to many luxurious luxury 5-star
We go to the botanical garden where there are thousands of species of orchids, which colors, fragrances. This place is truly a charm.
In the afternoon we take the metro and go to Little India, Clarke Key and Orchard Road. We turn the thousands of shopping centers and fills the eyes of a really well for us Westerners still very far away.
Sentosa island
To reach take the Sentosa Cable-car ... wow ... that view but also that fear!
The first stop was the aquarium, very similar to what we had visited in Kuala then we go to the dolphin show and the Museum of Images of
Singapore. Back in town to lunch time and before returning to the hotel we stop to Arabic Street, the Islamic area of
Singapore.
After a refreshing dip in the pool, we decided to go get the balloon that makes him stand 150 meters high by 10 minutes to enjoy the panorama of the city, but since it's windy and the service stopped. Well .. almost glad I am!
The day of comeback
Can we really comfortable this morning, pick it up is expected at 16.45. What's more we are fortunate to enjoy
Singapore on his 42nd National Day .. there are a lot of flags to the city, but luckily the shops and clubs are all open ... so we have time for some last whim buy.
In the afternoon we go to the airport where we waited several hours and then fly to Kuala what will bring us back from Malaysia to Italy!
