On January 12, 2008 I realized a great dream, thanks to my husband gave me this great gift, I could see with my own eyes the spectacle of nature called the Maldives!

Now I'm at home, to tell this unique and unrepeatable experience.

We left me, my husband and my 2 sons Peter (10 years) and Sara (14 months) on 12 January of this' year. After months of research on the atoll and the village have decided to Olhuveli, South Male nell'atollo because with 2 kids did not want to deviate much from Malé el'Olhuveli is just 36 km and can be reached with a 1 hour fast boat . (Handling)

Plane we have already tasted the beauty and the charm of this wonderful place, many small islands that emerge from the blue sea surrounded by deep blue (feels so good!).

After all bureaucracies airport which leaves out, we moved the boat fast in our village and awaited newcomers immediately realize the beauty of the island and the village and that all we had seen in the catalogs or on the Internet turned into reality by going beyond our expectations.

After lunch in the charming seaside restaurant (and sea!) We reached our room, ground floor of a bungalow-style house Maldives. The best thing was that he left the room, the large window leading onto the terrace, and you were on the white beach and then the warm turquoise sea.

Comfortable and very nice, the room was cleaned 2 times a day, towels and beach towels, changed every day and also 2 sun loungers on the beach.

The island is elongated, quietly turns into a scant hour, beaches of fine sand populated by friendly and colorful hermit crabs are very wide and the nice thing is that they are never crowded, what about the lagoon .. great, what we seek for our children but also for us because we are not great snorkelling. The barrier is in fact far away but you can reach in 5 minutes from the pier and dive with the brightly colored fish and us enough, because we still wanted to enjoy the beach, the turquoise sea and the warm sun and I think that those who choose the Olhuveli has these priorities, however, there were daily outputs in a group for snorkeling.

The restaurant offers buffet service for all meals, and meals! All very varied and plentiful, you are spoiled for choice and what about the dough, almost Italian!

The evening entertainment almost nonexistent except for the nice race of hermit crabs and the typical evening of dances, costumes and music Maldivian, but we knew this and it is only then we want so much although I must say that some little show more there would have been bad. So for those seeking fun board the Caribbean but for those who want to relax at the bar instead of the sea while sipping cocktails or to admire the magnificent manta rays from the pier or just listen to the sound of the sea by looking at the starry sky, the Olhuveli is perfect. Since the prices are quite high (1.5 liters of water 4 euro, 3 euro coffee, 1 glass of wine 4 euros etc ....), We almost always drunk water with a few coca could then keep spending beverages not included in full board.

The days, like every holiday rush between walks in search of fascinating language emerging from the sand at low tide, which allow you to walk in the ocean without getting your feet wet, (1 real spectacle of nature!) , canoe tours, snorkeling, sunbathing and many many pictures ... ..

We made one trip an entire day, starting from the gifts, stop for snorkelling in spectacular 2 points in mid-ocean, desert island stop for lunch (bring the village to cook the barbeque), then nap the sun and many bathrooms. The desert island has left us speechless really, it is difficult and almost impossible to describe the Maldives and all that belongs to it, the colors of the sea, soft white sand, all of their green, like being in a huge greenhouse ... . So is the blue sea and white sand that sometimes you could not keep my eyes open, I know what I say may seem impossible or exaggerated but it is really so, try to believe!

Reluctantly left the island aware that separate us from a place that never would have reviewed and lived within 20 minutes we reach the island of fishermen in our opinion quite disappointing as dirty and neglected. More than anything we have the opportunity to purchase them because the prices were lower compared to the village shop and above negotiable, I would have preferred no doubt be another 2 hours on a desert island!

We had already seen the Indian Ocean (Kenya and Srilanka), but with that we can not do comparisons of the Maldives, like all places lived, for something different and unique in its kind.

What to say more, except that it was a memorable holiday Olhuveli is wonderful, we have found no faults apart from the fact that time seems to fly too but too fast. I must say also ideal for families like ours (the village because it housed so many and too many children) about my kids were great and especially the little Sarah who has made long sleep, (the face of the zone) eat large and many many bathrooms.

Words, I've realized a great dream and hope one day soon to return to this lovely place full of wonders and where my heart and my eyes have enjoyed every moment of every single day. I forgot the Azema is a good and organized tour operators, we recommend it especially recommend Olhuveli not regret it if, as we certainly want to see and experience the beautiful and indescribable Maldives. A line addressed to staff Azema, good during the day you do not break the boxes or you'll buzz around with absurd and insistent proposals for the game but little active in the evening, at least for children, however all very helpful, knowledgeable.

Some practical advice: Do not fill your suitcase with unnecessary clothes or high heels .... All this does nothing, most of the time you walk barefoot and wearing a sarong (except for the restaurant should at least stingy of slippers) and do not forget sun protection, I with 2 children I have done much use, but necessary for us adults.

To conclude ... arrival in Milan with dense fog and 2 degrees of temperature after a rather turbulent flight and a landing. Trauma!

See you soon, perhaps to answer any questions or for a new story.
