One-week vacation in the Maldives, the Macunudu Island Resort

Livingston brings us a direct flight to Male, the capital of the Maldives and then 50 minutes by fast ferry will arrive in Makunudu, beautiful island of just 6 acres in size with a rich vegetation, impressive coral reefs and white sand. The resort is sober and 36 bungalows, all facing the sea, are decorated with natural materials and thatched roofs and open air bathrooms. The Lonely Planet calls it this way: "Small, exclusive and surrounded by nature, Makunudu is definitely one of the best resorts in the Maldives." We agree because we loved it. There is much to be done is a week of relaxing, with lots of books and no TV, swimming, snorkeling and hiking around the island in just six minutes. The total lack of animation allows you to fully enjoy the background of the sea and the silence has become increasingly valuable. Our treatment was half board, with a great breakfast buffet, an elegant à la carte dinner by candlelight and a snack between 16 and 17 at the Sand Bar, at which, for a fee, you can do in snacks 'day. The drinks are not included, but the prices are very honest. You can not enter the restaurant in costume, but you can do without for the entire week of slippers or sandals, wonderful! The resort offers excursions such as private dinners on the sand spits of lobster or if you prefer a picnic or half whole day. In a group you can go fishing with bollentino dhoni, a traditional Maldivian boat and snorkeling the reef "thin" great place to see the turtles. Both are free, as well as the equipment for snorkeling, windsurfing and catamaran, you always want unrivet from the couch. Deserves the output to Manta Point, you swim with these animals almost as large as 4 feet with their movements that give a great sense of tranquility. The trip costs $ 15. The Sunday evening listening to live music on Tuesday if the weather permits there is a barbecue on the beach on Friday evening comes alive with Bodu Beru, Maldivian traditional dance. For the remaining nights of the stay on as the cradle swings and go to the pier to see the sharks waiting to be fed by some volunteers or tourists from the remains of our dinner. Everything, but everything is very soft and relaxing. The island is very quiet and is home to couples of all nationalities, our language is spoken by a couple of waiters, all the staff were very friendly and great service, so that redo the case is even more difficult.
