Our journey began in the spring (2004) when we decided it was time to make our dream come true: going to the Valley of the Gods, Nepal and the Roof of the World, Tibet. The word "journey" was not written at random, and we believe that more viggiatori tourists and for that we are proud.
The collection of information is, of course, addressed on the internet and reading the travel guides at our disposal (2 LP and 1 Routard).
The binding condition of departure was to not make a trip organized by the Nepal we have had great difficulty, while for Tibet, despite our persistence, we have had to surrender to the Chinese bureaucracy and the realization that we could not turn to a 'travel agency.
Because you have 3 weeks we decided to break up the trip this way: the first week to spend at KTM and the surrounding area, the second in Tibet and the third back in Nepal, however, we move to Pokhara and then Bhaktapur and back to new to KTM and then spend the festival of Dasain, the most important Nepalese festival dedicated to the goddess Durga in which, in honor of the goddess, the blood is made to scroll rivers.
KTM and Nepal can not be told in few words (and perhaps even many) but must be lived deeply and we hope to do. The smells, the colors, the atmosphere, the people, all enclosed in a continuous and intoxicating whirl, make this city and this country is absolutely fantastic. Before leaving we read several times to the presence of rats on the street. We have seen cows (as many as you want), buffaloes, pigs, geese, hens, roosters, goats, sheep, monkeys (the ones which are also at work). A Pashupatinath we saw the ceremony of cremation, unreal in the preparation and in the dramatic reality 'of the tears of loved ones. We saw an elderly gentleman crouching (strictly on the street) cut her hair with extreme ease and dexterity of a young boy dirty from head to foot. We met Sadu, who, it seems, appreciate very Caterina (saints is but ...) and were modernized with a place where they invite you to take a picture with them to enable them to Ask the inevitable rupees. We met a Tibetan Monaco (three hours after our arrival in KTM) under one roof during a shower. We offered a nepali tea and told us that the fate we had together. This' remains that had the phone (its working, just as our alarm clock) and an email address. At the time of greetings gave us your e-mail and that's when we discovered that it is a Rinpoche. In Durbar Square (KTM) we were approached by a family with a beautiful girl who we looked and laughed while her daughter was hiding behind his father. The man was' then started asking if he could do a picture with her daughter but that 'was scared by the color of our skin, it seems we were the first white people he met in his life. Roaring with laughter and scherzetti the baby we made together a mutual photo. During the festival of Dasain to Bhaktapur and then we saw a Dakshinkali to sacrifice animals developed and administered in the family and have many children cross to bare full intent to pirouette their kites "armed" in those who are real battles for dominion of the heavens.
