The Philippines are worth not one but several trips. Normally you travel with a guide of the country, in this case I did not like Rough Guides and Lonely definitely seems a bit sparse information. I recommend this site: www.travelphil.com (or www.jenspeters.com). You can also find the directory at the end of the web Jens Peters served us more than the guide.

Some tips for the trip.

AIRPORTS
You will have to pay airport taxes whenever you take a plane, prices vary according to the importance of dynamism. For instance, to return you to pay 750 pesos each to leave the country, in other smaller airports pay 50 or 20 pesos each. Just arrived in Manila to the airport you have three choices:
Taxi lemousine white type, dearest.
Yellow taxi meter average price
Taxi meter basic low price, the problem is that they spend less. The price is better service with the yellow taxis that are special to the airport, bring the meter and do not mess with us.

HOTELS:
For "resorts" means any home equipped with rooms for tourists, so the best thing is to see the rooms before settling. The photos on this website are not very reliable. Regarding the accommodation I can recommend:
Manila alloggiatevi if possible in the area of Makati, we are housed at White's in Malate, the only area probloema is rather poorly attended.
Cebu: The best area is that of the Ayala Center, we are staying at Fiorentina Pensionne, cheap and well located.
Crown: usually the foreigners staying at the Sea Divers, however, there is the problem of compressor to load the bottles, I recommend you take a tricycle (do not pay more than 50 pesos) and be lead to several hotels before deciding.
Malapascua Island: There are several resorts, we were to Dano, beautiful bungalow on the beach cheap, include breakfast.
Bohol: The best area to stay and Panglao Island, we were at Alona beach, Alona Tropical the council.
El Nido: There are several resorts, all near the beach. Council to visit various resorts and then decide.
Puerto Princesa: We were at Paradise Hotel, okay. However, there are many, suggest to take a tricycle to see different places, then decide.

MOBILE
I highly recommend taking a local board. The cost is 50 pesos pesos + 300 calls, the company best known and Smart. We ask for a count of contact when you buy airline tickets, agencies and hotels can use it to call or to call Italy, the phone is cheaper than Italian.

MOVEMENTS
Are the problem in the Philippines. Surely you must take domestic flights, airlines have the best prices are and Zest Cebu Pacific Air. Eye to pick up the tickets long before, because if you change something in the flight will cost you less to take the new tickets. As for luggage, in case of breakage or loss will pay up to 1000 pesos per bag. To buy tickets on the spot, the best thing is to buy them in shops, usually located in the Mall (shopping centers) in large cities or authorized agencies (eg the El Nido Art Cafe). As for travel by sea you have to take the baka (typical boat Filipino) to catamarans (Seacat from Cebu to Bohol.)
In the case of Malapascua, you have to take a bus from Cebu to Amaya (normally the Ceres line) when you arrive at Amaya will try to convince you to take a bank private paying 1500 pesos, when the price of public trapsorto is 50 pesos each. You say that with good will and will wait a few minutes you will see that the price will drop to 200 pesos. Normally the only part banka public with a minimum of 15 people on board, the last leaves at about 16.00 (if part), if you arrive late, right next to the house selling tickets there is the advertisement of a resort that is to take if they spend the night.

CHANGES
IIo I changed on average 1 euro = 67 pesos, the airport is slightly unfavorable, but you get a little money, the rest you should change it out.

MOTO
It is worth rent a motorbike to visit the surroundings freely. Y normally rent between 500th and 700 pesos for 8 hours (do not trust to leave the bike for the night), if negotiated for more days you best price and keep a step ahead all night.

DIVING
Council three dive centers: Coron Divers (at Crown), and Dan's Divers (at Malapascua, Dan is an American with a specific aspect, however information will give you one thousand, has the best prices on the island and the material that rent is practically new) and Scuba World (at Alona beach is located near the hotel with out written Aquatic Kew, the manager called Tim and information will give you one thousand).

MALLS
I'm shopping centers, sometimes it's worth going there for: to buy things, buy passes for, and ... why not go to the movies costs about 1 euro and a half or 2. The best and the Mall of Asia in Manila, I saw a 3D movie (under the sea) spectacularly in the IMAX theater at 3 euros and a half. In another mall we saw that District 9 has not yet released in Italy. Occasionally having to spend the night in Cebu or Manila, where there is not really much to see, to get away are a great option.

BEER
The San Miguel Pilsen costs very little in risrtoranti often costs less water, less than one euro for 33 cl.

Tarsier
Are not monkeys, even if they seem. Found in Bohol, if you take a package to visit the Chocolate Hills and other places in the interior, you definitely will stop in small places where there are two trees with some o3 tarsier clinging there. They are nocturnal animals, the locals have sensed the deal and capture them to attract tourists and sell all kinds of gadgets, not to mention the boxes with offers for "the protection of Tarsier. All the animals you'll see in this spot after a few weeks die stress or illness, so if you Refuse to go. The only place that really protects them is close to Corelli, a few kilometers from Tagbilaran City. Ask on site and explain how to get there, the easiest way is by renting a bike.

In the coming days will make the travel diary.

Departure/Arrival

We left at about 19:00 from Madrid with Korean Airlines, is a media company, is quite false and ask all (sleeping mask, caps, drinks excluding water, etc. ...), give you the bare minimum. The positive note is the airport where we stopped over in Seoul, is immense and you should make a stop of several hours pass flying.
Once in Manila you find yourself with 3 options to go to the hotel (best to book before you leave): type lemousine white taxi, taxi (tassamtero) by average price and yellow taxi (meter) basic, which is cheap, but last we are not enough and must wait. If you can better stay in the area of Makati. There is really little to see in Manila: Intramuros, a park, museums (no maximum), a zoo (to avoid) and the Mall of Asia (super mega shopping mall where you'll find everything you forgot at home and You can book hotels or air).
