Manila - Twelve millions of inhabitants between skyscrapers and poverty

After 400 years of Spanish rule and 50 American, Manila now has some features not meet again in no other Asian capital.
The strong presence of Catholicism, Christmas lasts three months and last names from the Spanish, the construction business in the hands of Chinese and the consumer culture of shopping malls and fast food (if you can) typical of the United States.
The contrast remains the most striking architectural / social between the rich in the ultra-modern skyscrapers and squatters in the slums of downtown.
