Again in Bangkok

Finished our three days of trekking, we ripigliato the train to the capital. We were granted a further three days in town before reaching the beaches of Kho Pha-ngan. Usually the night train arrived in Bangkok to buonora, too well ... at six o'clock in the morning we were already running, backpacks on their shoulders to reach the super mega hotel previously booked the entire package together for Chiang Mai. The hotel was in China Town area, an unexplored area for us.
After a hearty buffet breakfast (we ate the impossible, to shame!), We granted a restoration pennichella then head of the good lena Great Palace, one of those places to visit when they come to Bangkok. The building, or rather, the buildings are very large, appropriately imperial. Everything is covered with a patina of sea bream, which makes it super sbrilluccicante ... certainly did not build it in at the expense spared!
Back at the hotel, we made an appointment with Segato Sergio, an Italian who for about fifteen years has moved into Southeast Asia. Sergio fell between those contacts acquired prior to departure, and we were really curious to meet him to hear his experience. It was a very interesting meeting, which gave us several ideas and gave valuable tips about Bangkok. Together with him, after a dinner that he has graciously offered, we went to visit one of the most beautiful temples of Bangkok, that although it was evening, he was enlightened to day: the case of Wat Arun, a temple which is situated on the banks of the river through the capital, the Chao Phraya and illuminated so that was really his porca figura. Just at the foot of Wat Arun, we hailed the smooth Sergio and we went to visit another district "typical" Pat Pong. We do not want to dwell on the description of this unusual and lively neighborhood, because risk of becoming embarrassing, but I recommend, if you let us go past a jump! Funny!

The next morning, having even private car and driver, we made scorazzare until Ayuttaya, the ancient capital of the kingdom, to admire the ruins. This is a scenario already seen a Ankgor, Cambodia, though smaller. Maybe because it was not exactly something new, but the visit was not outstanding, although however, especially for some time, certainly worth a visit, given the non-prohibitive distance from Bangkok.
Returned in the late afternoon, we prepared the last evening in the capital, choosing the classic Khao San Road, where we dined the night spent in the discotheque (up to one in the morning, closing time for all premises clean in Bangkok).

The next morning, the last day in town, we spent on the visit of another majestic temple, according to Sergio the most beautiful of Bangkok, famous for its school of massage that we seized. It is the Wat Po, known for the colossal Buddha lying exaggerated the size! Gigante!
Recovered our luggage we went back to the train station to leave this time to the South, more particularly for Surat Thani, home port, the ferry that would have led to Kho Pha-ngan.
Arrived at 4:45 am at Surat Thani, we expect the last hard-earned vacation before Christmas. We had to first resolve a bureaucratic problemino: the renewal of a visa for Thailand. The most rapid and painless (or almost) flight was to the thin strip of land that divides the Thai west coast from the east, and then catch a boat that we take up in Myanmar. In short, while avoiding details of geography, we unleashed the surviving leadership of our driver, we have entered into Myanmar for about twenty minutes, and then successfully enriched with the passport of another stamp; procedure that allowed us to obtain a new visa Monthly for Thailand ... absurd but terribly real and necessary!
Returning back to Surat Thani with the usual driver unleashed crazy, we finally embarked on Kho Pha-ngan. Finally!
