Transfer from Angkor Wat (Cambodia) to Kho Samet (Thailand)

Wake up to the first light of day and gobble up as we go along the usual breakfast of fried eggs, bread and jam with a fruit shake, we were directed to take the bus to Poipet, the last village before cambodian tranship in Thailand . We had already warned about the precarious path ... well, we can only confirm! The road that we traveled to get from Siena to Poipet Rep does not deserve to be treated as such. Perhaps the way the term is fitting much more ... was a journey of "sole" six hours, but six hours were important, difficult to forget. Most of the trail was not asphalted road, a narrow trail, steep and with an endless amount of holes. Certainly the landscapes that we crossed was a unique beauty and have succeeded in part to alleviate the jumps and sudden changes of direction of the bus. Once in Poipet we crossed the border on foot and go through the usual procedures for entry, we direct a tuc-tuc to the first bus station we found. Stroke of luck (sometimes it takes!), The bus for Rayon was expecting them to us. It was not easy to see that the bus was right, because nobody spiaccicava a word of English. But in the end thanks to the availability proverbial Thai, and a good dose of gestures, we have reached our goal: Rayon. Actually Rayon was only a bus station which has served to get to the island of Kho Samet.

The days are spent between underwater explorations and sunbathing, and the evening in just five minutes we could reach the area so to speak worldly dedicated to savor excellent breakfasts and dinners succulents that there certainly left dissatisfied. Even the weather conditions have supported us throughout our stay: all that we wanted to find. There was only one reason that led us away from that place but our commitments we called to order, was now high time to leave the island: Bangkok was waiting for us. Our stay was further extended by two days compared to our estimates it is by peace and not reached their optimum conditions of the ankle of one of the now infamous dispatch "Parallel Back to Zero" that has clearly thought about the dirty body with a tattoo so fashionable here in the island.

Be the luggage we boarded again to reach dry land and a minibus that would take us to Bangkok.

Koh Samet

Rayon arrived at in the evening we spent the night in a dilapidated tavern but that's all we could have seen that we have arrived in the middle of the night and all in all it was a "suffering" that could endure for the week that we are going to spend at Kho Samet. The next morning we bought the ticket for the ferry: journey time approximately half an hour. Landed as usual, the primary problem was to find accommodation ... company not just because we were in the middle of the feast that Thailand dedicated to the king's birthday.

Hired the taxi driver we usually put in the search for a bungalow, not found a place manco pagarlo gold. So we decided to carry out research themselves walking along the beach, here are fortunate because we also saw indications that our arrival had given us a nice German tourists. After a long wait, we found accommodation at the Silver Sand, a sort of tourist village with bungalows, restaurant and disco all artificially created to brighten the holidays for tourists But already the first night here is the largest and perhaps its only flaw. We could not sleep because dell'assordante noise coming from the disco. The next morning we decide to leave for an exploration of the search for an isolated beach, our mission has achieved the goal. The glance was crazy: a beach for people with soft, white sand, but the best was yet to come. noticed the presence of a resort, we went immediately to inform us about their availability. He was just a bungalow and there are certainly facts miss the opportunity, in hastily retrieved our luggage and we moved. It was a postcard. Our accommodation was in the sea and offering a panorama breathtaking especially at dawn and at dusk, in addition the owner was a kind of Yokoono devoted to yoga and Chinese medicine: we had found paradise.
