Uzbekistan

Tashkent: Uzbekistan's capital, is also essential step to begin your journey through this fascinating region.
From here you can take flight in an hour and reach the northern part of the region that the capital of Kyrgyzstan in case you want to continue their journey in this country.
The city does not offer much, but in our opinion, still worth a visit because of its originality on its two aspects: Soviet and Islamic at the same time.
Soviet-style wide boulevards characterize the city. To visit the Independence Square where the doors are guarded by statues of pelicans in steel, aluminum and stain a bright red at sunset.

Khiva: One hour flight will take you to Urgench. From here, only 30 km separate you from the wonderful Khiva. The Old Town - Ichon-Qala - reflects exactly what might have been in the past, remaining true Central Asian city.
Just close your eyes and imagine its winding streets crowded with merchants, goods, camels topped by beautiful minarets, mosques and medresse. Today beautiful sights to see at this sunset while gold color. Superb views of the city at sunset on top of the minaret of Islom-Huja.

Bukhari: Khiva by a taxi (if you choose private or collective) in about 5 hours will take you through the stifling heat of the desert to Bukhara. Also this meraviglisoa city has remained the same at that time now gone.
Strolling through the old town there runs into a real tangle of alleys and commercial minibazar. Markets covered in the characteristic (s Taqi) small shops open in tight spaces within which the artisans working in dim light. In the courtyards, the incomparable beauty of medresse, in addition to small shops, markets are held daily. Breathtaking for its beauty in the square where the Kalon minaret. Framed by the Kalon Mosque and madrasa Mir-i-Arab, the latter, still active, important Koranic school.

Samarkand: about 4 hours away by train, you reach Samarkand, legendary city, known for the magic of his name brings to mind the "silk road" as any other Asian city. Unfortunately, very little is left of the pomp that could be a time Samarkand.
Do not miss the Registan Square, where the dazzling tile cobalt blue, turquoise and green adorn the three medresse that surround the square:
of Ulug Beg, Shir Dar and Tilla-Kari.
Enchanting Mosque Bibi Khanym the morning light.
Even more impressive is the beautiful sanctuary and Shah-I-Zinda, where many of the faithful come to pray at the grave of a cousin of the Prophet Mohammed is said to have brought Islam to this region. From Samarkand, Tashkent, the capital is easily reachable by train (4 hours). From here our journey continued flying to Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan.
