Relax at the Ventaclub the island of Eleuthera

The butterfly island

Eleuthera, in the Bahamas, is a wild island with very few buildings and hotels, Ventaclub has a private beach almost 7 kms long. The kitchen is more than acceptable, very nice rooms. In the sea at the front of the village there are a few algaes, nothing dramatic, but walking for 10 minutes along the beach you reach a fantastic protected bay, deserted, with pink sand and clear sea .

After so much spin, we are finally leaving for the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, where we expect only a period of idleness.
To reach the Ventaclub from Orlando, you must make a stopover in Miami, then take one of those recommended little twin-engined planes that in about an hour takes us, perhaps not so smoothly, to Eleuthera islets and lagoons. Then, with a taxi organised by the Resort, in an hour we are able to reach the village.
Eleuthera is an island long and thin (3x160 kms) thanks to formidable perimeter of its coastline (over 500 kms) it offers delightful beaches, bays and promontories deliciously interrupted from villages that have made it one of the favorite visitors' destination. Starting from the south of the island the most important centres are Rock Sound, with the nearby Ocean Hole, a kind of lake connected to the sea by an underground tunnel, Bannerman Town, a village of only 40 inhabitants and Tarpum Bay. Continuing northwards we arrive at Governor's Harbour (the main settlement) and then head to Gregory Town.
Harbour Island is located north of Eleuthera and just 10 minutes of boat far from it. It is one of the most beautiful islands of Bahamas. Small, almost intimate, it offers a beach rose 5 kms long.

Ventaclub

The Ventaclub is very well organized, directly faces a long and beautiful white beach, club exclusively owned because there are no other buildings, if not a couple of uninhabited houses. The cottages are embedded in a beautiful tropical garden, dotted with palm trees and bouganville bushes. Of course, the sea is the only reason to visit this place, because there are absolutely no other attractions to see, nor entertainment if not those inside the village. The nearest village is about 3 kms far and it can be reached with bicycles made available for free: there is nothing to see, if not to look how the local population lives.
The treatment is All Inclusive, and these shares Rhum and Pina Colada that are a delicacies not to miss, and the kitchen is obviously Italian, as tradition of Ventaclub.
The sea is pleasantly warm particularly in the afternoon, with some algaes carried by the tide. But with a pleasant walk of 15 minutes along the beach, an enchanting and solitary bay can be reached, with rocks that emerge from the rose sand and a lagoon of an incredible transparency with giant starfishes. Really heavenly.
The climate was very pleasant, despite my concern because the month of May is beginning to be at risk of rain. Instead, apart from the usual scattered clouds that rarely covered the sun, has rained only half an hour in a week, while the temperature has always been very pleasant, not too hot. Only a couple of days there has been a little of annoying wind.
From Italy came several people for a totally sea vacation, in my opinion not worth much because, given the closeness with Florida, a little trip there is a must. Genuinely not recommended to those looking for entertainment.
In addition there are even excursions to be done, if not some exits by sea or for the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau, which is quite far away, it can be reached by plane but the trip is quite expensive.
