Coming from Guatemala for a tour in Belize
Arrived in Belize by Bus from Guatemala in the company of a friend of the Sorrento Peninsula.
After passing through the center of St. Ignatius and the tiny capital Belmopan (but only slept hovisto and the "periphery") we arrived in the main cities of the country, Belize City. This center does not offer anything special other than the pier for the islands of the ref flat which we choose between Caye Caulker. The island is narrow and long, one of the many hurricanes that it was shot down has destroyed a concrete bridge, which are the remains, forming the channel Split near which we did the bathroom. The narrow beach is clear, surrounded by a palm tree. The few roads on the island of sand are so clear that the reflection of the sun is hard to walk without glasses. We slept in a typical Caribbean home, wood white with a window sill that had sand on the road to the seafront. The dinner was very "Caribbean" and consumed outside a restaurant where the tables were placed on a sand road where the landlord has served a good fish kebabs. After the accommodation we have taken a powerful lance that has brought us back to Belize City after a brief stop Chapell of the landing where there is a fine golf course. From Belize City we continued by bus to the north of the country where we crossed the border into Mexico.
Belize is a small state (more or less great as Sardinia) independent of the 80s but still strongly linked to Great Britain: Queen Elizabeth is the Head of State, speaks English and is a member of the Commonwealth. Life is much more expensive than in other Central American countries, the country is generally quiet except for Belize City considered a dangerous city.
