Having long dreamed of the sun and scenery Paradise catalogs and photos of friends ... we are looking at the glass of the airport a gray sky and heavy black clouds and rain.
Later we realized one thing ... Cuba can not disappoint.
The sun has returned to shine and showed us all his grace and beauty.

The natural landscapes are beautiful, close your eyes and imagine Cuba, what your mind is projecting is really corresponds to reality. One has the feeling of watching a postcard perfect colors and lively, Cayo Largo is a paradise ... and the photos speak for themselves ..

In Havana, where the state is boring restaurants prefer Paladar, (small local family run), the stay can be a real gourmet experience. Entering one of these places is always a little 'exciting, often bizarre, but the furnishings are one feels immediately at home and even in the most dilapidated areas of town you can find simple and welcoming. The difficulty is to find them, the guides recommend some from year to year but the situation changes. If you find yourself just wandering on an empty stomach you can always rely on the "promoter's advertising turns" (activities deemed illegal) who understands what you are looking for on the fly and takes you on a paladar where of course you will pay a few cents more for his advice.

Tourism is a goose that lays golden eggs for the Cuban economy, the only industry that runs the state coffers. This obviously entails sacrifices.
The Cubans can not go to Cayo Largo because it is a place reserved for foreigners (because they spend more and pay in Pesos Convertibles) and many local beaches are also prohibited. A taxi driver told me one evening: "We have everything, there is still too early to fully enjoy," as possible? Because of mass tourism invades without respect and needs his space.
To this can be remedied, however, if like us you prefer Playas del Este in Varadero, much cheaper and more peaceful place where the influx of people is mixed between tourists and Cubans and the atmosphere is simple and devoid of unnecessary luxuries.
With 20 minutes and about 10 pesos for a taxi you find yourself in the center of Havana, and here I will not describe the wonder of the atmosphere in the capital ... to become a long history and already heard. There must be lost, let alone the maps, to hell with the tour guides that we bought! Simply walking ... and it's like a sixth sense lead you in the places that you expected to see.
