Havana: The Havana is the capital of the scam and anyone who stops you to talk at the end asks dinero and I regret this because the people started building a relationship of friendship, while the only thing they want is more money parade possible.
One thing that one must never say all'Habana is that landed the day before or three days before and that is the first time in Cuba .. are split, we will not take back more than, anyone from the old boy. How long have you been to Cuba? A month. First time in Cuba? No, three. Fine, kindly welcome and should be looking for fresh meat from another party, because they know that you already know how Cuba and then do not lose time, time is money!

Casas particulares:

you arrived in a new city and are looking for a particular house for a few days. Ask a dealer if there are houses for rent in the neighborhood and the people passing at that moment for the way you listen and:
- Aims to help you look them up
- Says that a relative or friend has one casa particular
- Offers to take you because their lives near a house (see the case).
ALL and I mean all the people who accompany you to a casa particular will not do for the spirit of goodwill, but they do it because you got a percentage of money given for the stay, the famous propina; accompany you up in front of the house, greet the master as if it were truly a cousin or friend, are pretending to greet you and then secretly entering the house to speak with the owner to reach agreement on the price that it is thanks to him because now the customer ... and the price rises ... and the alien pays! All cities and towns have tourist casas particulares in abundance and all of us are perfectly able to look them up yourself and your liking.
Note how difficult it is to move the guy or tizia while repeating that there is no need his help, do not go away again! Why? Why feel smell of easy money, here's why. Be careful also not to be followed, because when the bell ringing, then sprout next to you and smile at the landlord who has just arrived to open ... becca and your money!
If you are in Cuba during the low season most of the houses are empty and therefore we can treat the money with ease!
In every case except all'Habana we asked for and obtained a room for 10 Convertibles divided the day with my friend are a 5 head! If there is no agreement on the price you go to look for another house, which is not at all difficult to find. The casas particulares are recognized because they have a green triangle (and not blue or red) attached to the door.
E 'can also meet people who without a license you are asking to meet you at home for little money, this is a bit risky because it is prohibited: to accommodate the tourists must have a license and pay the government a monthly fixed fee and who does not have the license can not sleep for the night a stranger. But can be very interesting, you live with people who do not have to do to trade with tourists and often these houses are very poor but all the shortcomings are not due to the warm and sincere hospitality, willingness to talk, to know and to forge friendship that is inherent in the Cuban province. An unforgettable experience.

Jineteros: all those who help tourists in difficulty "to obtain property or services and then the backs of tourists take the percentage of work done so that the end is more expensive. What a Cuban honestly earns in a month of work, the jinetera earns in a day (or hour), and without even beat so much!
Who are they? It is mainly young and well dressed, do not work and live on the streets, but can also be the old or the young boy.
How to recognize them? It can be difficult to identify the first blow jineteros but as time goes on (the sound of a cheat) you soon learn to recognize and to respond "no thanks" or send them directly to hell. Most visible are those who approach and offer the deal directly, which can be taxi paladar, restaurant, women, houses, cars, etc.. Or, the most cunning, with the excuse to start chatting you questions private ... Basically want to know if you need something at that moment and how long you are on this to evaluate your experience with them.

Food: The cheapest place to eat lunch or dinner in a casa particular where costs about 5 or 7 convertibles tractable, breakfast 3rd Overstretches, thinking in pesos. Using the national currency you can spend less than 1 euro per day on food as on the street is full of stalls and restaurants in pesos. For the food street price is always written on a board and hung ingannanano not ever, ditto for restaurants for Cubans. Cans of drink in the bar gasata Touring costing 1C, in the workshops will pay 10p, the fruit is found in the markets at bargain prices. Based drinks including fruit juice than the road to 1peso, but be careful because the water is tap water. We need to fill for lunch and dinner in the evening because the food is scarce and is likely to find very little. Some prices: pizza 3 to 5p, 3p bread with cheese, burgers 3 to 7p, rice and beans 2.50 - 3p, soup 1.50 - 2p, the water is free in restaurants (it's from the tap). Is to try the juice of the cane guarapita 1p and pru, a root that lowers blood pressure, about 3p, coffee from 1p to 20centesimi (I found a coffee 15cv!)
Go to the barber 2p coast but make sure it said pesos cubanos and not the other weight.
Speaking of hygiene ... Hygiene is one that is equal for everyone: adapt or decline. Tap water should always be boiled, usually in the particular case, the boil and can be recharged with the bottle for the day, in other areas outside the boil and it is a lottery. But travelers have always trotters antibody with them.

The key to pull out of trouble, to treat, for having a say in discussions and to penetrate into the Cuban culture is the knowledge of Spanish. Praticatelo, learn the slang from Cuba and imitate the accent with which they speak: This is a way to make people understand that you're straight, and try to avoid.

I will now address a particular dell'Habana house where I was and I was fine, as in family http://digilander.libero.it/habanaparticular

Eye at the airport, is a den of jineteros! Changed immediately in the euro cadecas and not trust anyone not even the taxi that takes you downtown and wants to take you to a certain house that he knows, "is a well jinetera him seeking easy profits ... And make sure that the taximeter is turned on!
