Holiday trip to my beautiful Jamaica.. Trip to Negril and Ocho Rios
Departure from Malpensa Airport to Montego Bay flight Neos part with about an hour late, was an agreed stopping place in Varadero, but theoretically we had not even get off the plane, however, arrived in Varadero at night around 2:00, we left only to Montego Bay at 20.00 the next day, after spending seven hours at the airport well without understanding the reason ... ... .... if you really want to find the positive side of things ... .. is that in the morning we were transferred all'Arenas Doradas (an all inclusive 4 or 5 stars, very nice) and we had the opportunity to spend a whole day, certainly unexpected on the white beaches of Varadero!
In the evening we finally reach Jamaica I enjoyed every day more and more as time passes you can always take more the spirit of this wonderful island and the sea is beautiful, but Jamaica is not just sea , we must live it, see the many facets that compose it, the pristine nature, waterfalls surrounded by greenery, the lifestyle of its inhabitants, not just absolutely a week to do that, ideally, be renting a car and girarsela independently.
I state that I am not a fanatic of the All-inclusive, but I would say a few words for the Point Village in Negril, a village very informal, between Seven Mile and Bloody Bay, consists of all apartments scattered in a very beautiful garden , the aspect that I certainly appreciate more of this all-inclusive was the possibility of having fruit juices and cocktails of various kinds at all hours of the day, with the heat that is there are "vital"! It has two private beaches, one flanked by the nudist beach beside the hotel, the Hedonism, and a small rocky bay with a cave, where snorkeling is quite nice (though fish is not that there are just so many), and also in front is a small island, lovely, where local fishermen bring you to eat lobsters freshly caught and cooked on the grill (for the lazy, like us, order the morning, I'll even bring beach hot hot lobsters 4 to 10 $!!); an aperitif before dinner with lobster and local fruit juices (the pina colada is a scream!) under the Caribbean sun is the best!
And then there's always the music of Bob Marley who accompanies you everywhere, the smell of gangja together, as the days pass, you realize that you also begin to take the rhythm of Jamaican and start thinking no problem too !!
Then if you start walking down the Seven Mile, especially at points where there are hotels, the sea area are truly spectacular.
As for the sights are many and time is never enough, we were in Negril, we saw the lighthouse and made the drink at Rick's Cafe (the max of our social life!) We saw the boys Jamaica for $ 1 diving from heights impressed, among the rocks, they are crazy!
All speak of the famous sunsets at Rick's Cafe, in my opinion Jamaica offers spectacular sunsets from anywhere you are! We were then to Dunn's River Falls, will also be the most touristy but I liked both, is fun to walk back and make a whirlpool in the various natural pools that form between the rocks and you are immersed in unspoiled nature, where is easy to see parrots, hummingbirds and even the corner room, which are a protected species found only there, we saw the beautiful coral reef in Ocho Rios and had a brief taste of Montego Bay, a city that I was not particularly enthusiastic.
We also made a raft on the rivers of this beautiful island, that is, rafting is more than a walk on a bamboo raft, but you're surrounded by nature, surrounded by palms, banana trees, colorful flowers, vines and bamboo plants, during the way many men were posted, everyone who wanted to sell something, some of necklaces, some a foot massage, some of the coconut milk to drink (delicious!); encounter more "exciting" was a man of about seventy , rasta, immersed in the river until mid-torso, and a reed in his mouth and held beads on both arms, stoned, like a vision, legendary!
Jamaica all good! YEAH MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
