In May with my partner Paola we finally went in the Americas and more specifically in Mexico where we stayed in all inclusive at the Playa Real hotel Playa del Carmen. I do not want to steal too much time so I will just give you some suggestions. The hotel is beautiful, in typical Mexican style just 700 meters from the sea that you can achieve with a nice walk or a bus of the hotel. The staff is friendly and the food good and varied (there are 2 restaurants). Right now we have created a group in a hotel of ten boys and girls with whom we have made 3 trips, the first in complete autonomy in Tulum using the local media took a bus to the bus station at the end of 5th Avenue (about 2 Euro -3) the most important of Playa del Carmen full of shops, bars and restaurants. The Mayan site that you are visiting is beautiful, right on the beach with a beach nearby that you can enjoy enchanting after visiting the site. The second excursion was made using an agent found in the center of Playa del Carmen at a cost of 45 dollars with a visit to the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza with a guide, then the colonial city of Valladolid, and finally swim in the blue "cenote" ( karstic lakes that are formed under the earth). Lunch is included. Is worth making this trip because the Mayan ruins are extremely fascinating and there is no need to lose. The third and final trip was made with the tour operator's ($ 90) and was particularly beautiful because initially briefly visit a Mayan communities that still live like centuries ago in the forest, then going to see the monkeys urlatrici the plants, and you run a good Mayan rite attended by a local shaman. Then they will go canoeing on a lake inside the forest, cross the lake itself harness to a pulley, and down from a rock wall about 10 meters and then finally have lunch with typical dishes of the Mayan tradition. In the afternoon we went to swim in a cenote, and ends with a visit to a beautiful and recently Mayan archaeological site of Coba .... sorry if it is little!
Do not talk about the sea that is simply wonderful, warm water, turquoise, fine white sand .... that show. I advise you to contract for any articoo and at any store is a real and often for Mexicans is almost a duty. For the money you can pay in dollars, euros or pesos. I recommend you also buy gifts in wood, stone or other directly and not maya in stores because of the center are less expensive and especially so you can contribute to enrich the poor Mayan communities.
Thanks mexico!
For any information write well. Aldo
