... thank god, once again we manage to escape from cold Europe (winter record here in Barcelona!) and to reach the sun and the heat ...
Once again we are me and my Yoli to undertake this journey, in search of relaxation and a little adventure ... The journey is long and terrible mistake, we arrive in Miami via Mexico. At customs, the Americans demonstrate that they are a little paranoid, and, for the "mistake" to have seen some of Middle Eastern countries, the famous U.S. agents have the funny idea to hold for two hours in a room making unnecessary applications such as utility without as that work is my mother (???)... and so we lose the connection ...
... after a few extra cheap Miami unscheduled, finally we reach Cancun ...

CANCUN

Destroyed, arrive in Cancun, but not stage due willed, and soon we remember why. We stop for the night in a hotel near the bus station in Cancun city, and doing a tour we realize what a wonderful area would be transformed into a graveyard of cement. Zona Hotelera Cancun is a white cement wall that makes it difficult even the sight of the sea ... and the whole area the prices seem to those of any English seaside resort ...
... can not wait to go ...

VALLADOLID

At dawn we take one of the many buses that serve this vast country, and in about two hours, between the "campaign" of the peninsula, we reach this small village where you will find a relaxed spirit and colonial ...
Valladolid is beautiful, economical and a human. To win the first heat of the afternoon we visit one of the many Cenotes que Maya are located in this area, specifically Dzitnup, artificially lit and where you can swim between blacks and incredible fish senz'occhi!
Strolling among the people smiling and cordilale is un'esperianza always positive. Then we eat, it relaxes and incomicia to realize that yes, we are finally in Mexico. That's true.

CHICHEN ITZA

Valladolid is a good day to discover the wonders of Chichen Itza. The bus to the archaeological site are fast and continuous and absolutely not pordo.
The Board is to arrive in what was one of the most important cities of the Maya kingdom as soon as possible. The buses and the number of tourists with colored bracelet on your wrist that move one behind the other, is nothing short of embarrassing.
But again, Chichen Itza is a must.
The pyramid called El Castillo (and the fun steps, both external and internal, although the latter is more "wet "...) the square of a thousand columns annesso templo de los guerreros, the astronomical observatory, l ' edificio de las Monjas, the large cenote ... and so we could continue to be annoianti.
The air here is resira is a mix between the mystical and amazing. I repeat once again: missed.
... not to forget the hundreds of "sellers" along the road of the archaeological site where you can find great bargains and a little hope in the clouds ... the heat here is stifling!

MERIDA

On bus full of people and animals arrive in the capital of the state of Yucatan. Merida is large, polluted and crowded. But even here one breathes an air of true Mexico and Spanish-colonial atmosphere is discovered not only the foot of the Catholic cathedral, but in every corner of the city center.
There 'to say that Merida is pretty expensive, but it was PREVEZA to be in the biggest cities of the whole peninsula.
Eat and walk to the Mercado de ArtesanĂas is intriguing and discover the many monuments such as the aforementioned first cathedral, the palace of Montejos, early Spanish governors of the city, theater, university, home of the museum of anthropology ... all stages due ...
.. and then the evening we can relax by walking and the sweltering heat, watching the city move while enjoying a wonderful batidos seated at one of the many cafes in the capital ...

UXMAL

Always taking into Merida as a base, after a tropical shower, still with a gloomy sky low and we run this time to the discovery of Uxmal. Politico-religious center of Maya first.
Bad weather gives us the opportunity to visit the city without tourists praticamnte its magnificence and leave us without words.
Again, the powerful House of mjaffar, the Cuadrangulo de las Monjas, the Palacio del gobernador and many other wonders we once again leave you breathless ...
... we know we have "walked" between monuments of incomparable magnificence, and thinking and not just a cultural clash between Europeans and these people so different from our place not too many centuries ago, I left a bitter taste in my mouth...

TULUM

Addressing the longer travel by bus this holiday, we arrived in the late afternoon in Tulum, a tiny country, which has become famous for its proximity to beautiful beaches and Mayan ruins ...
Arriving at the bus station we immediately address the area of the "cabanas" ... concrete huts to 10 meters from the sea, surrounded by idyllic tranquility ...
In Tulum there is not much to do, apart from the "brown" in the sun, lying on a fine white sand and spend time relaxing ...
Obviously the small town of Tulum archeological must not be lost. Its position overlooking the sea that his most intersesse history, is its main attraction and the views from here can once again leave you breathless ...
... and here we fermaimo 3 / 4 days ... like not resist?

PLAYA DEL CARMEN

Although reluctantly, decide to spend the last day before returning to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, more to be said of other states. A little better than Cancun, but a town full of hotels, restaurants and shops very expensive. It seems more to be in New York than in Mexico. We speak English and pga in dollars. Not to mention the beach. Finding a corner free of deckchairs pay is a real business ...
The next day sad and tan, you return to the airport, and from there towards the house ....
... was not the first time I visited Mexico, but once again its colors, its people, its history and its odor I have left one of those signs that nell'anima never lose ...
