05. 01. 2007 Farallon (Panama)
After 10 hours of flight and three movies, we're flying over the Dominican Republic in the first trip of 2007!
Panama! This strip of land terminus of Central America and last frontier before "penetrating" in South America via Colombia. Yes, this strip of land bordered to the north of Costa Rica, with the dangerous south Colombia, east by the Atlantic Ocean and the west Pacific Oceans. And today, for the first time in our lives we have taken a bath in this new great sea, which unlike the name, is the most dangerous in the world. Water is not remotely comparable to the Caribbean!
Land in Panama City, we are surrounded by moisture very annoying, but the air conditioning on our bus lever of us soon forget ... To reach our "resort" we travel two hours away and my attention is caught by the lush vegetation, sometimes impenetrable and immediately my mind begins to fantasize, imagining perhaps coca plantations and drug traffickers hidden, camouflaged, which controlled everything!
We also pass on a bridge overlooking the famous canal, Panama that has made famous throughout the world and who so enriched this small statelet!
But, come to our village hyper tourist, a contagious delusion takes hold of us. Where are we? In Beverly Hills? Many luxury SUV and large, Americans and Canadians everywhere with their bellies on display, their ways "caciaroni" masters of the world ... Panama is not what I expected, I seemed to be landed by mistake in California!
But our spirit of traveling brings us, after dinner, just for a walk outside the village, in the village of Farallon!
A combination of classic colonial caserelle-Caribbean, with a garden with hammocks and family, as happened in Italy some 50 years ago, gathered around the "hearth", chatting quietly. The hammock is perhaps their "home"! The people greeting us, smiles, is friendly with us. The children are meeting, children playing with us and we enjoy these moments when Charles proposed a minute of silence to listen to nature that we spoke!
On the way back we stop to chat with a happy little family, we usually spend the evenings as there and their, wondering: "How do you have the dance hall there! Every night you can dance", as if to say, claiming stupid! How should we spend the other hand, in our country gray in winter, after a stressful, tedious and tiring day at work! It 'really true, is satisfied with nothing and I'm happy! Well that poet said that only children are happy and ignorant because they are not aware of anything!

06. 01. Penonomé 2007 (Panama)

Spend the morning splashing as eels just released into the water, playing football with Colombians, joking with them on drug trafficking and coca and taking long walks surrounded by very nice birds and struggling with the sun beats here too bad!

In the afternoon, with a local bus and $ 3 round trip: me, Jeff, Charles and Aunt Anna will discover the nearest town: Penonomé!

Funny journey in the small bus that stopped every time he saw someone down the road. Once at the top we see the curious glances of the people, always smiling. We say that this country certainly can not define a tourist spot! Turn between the classic Caribbean from shops and colorful advertising signs painted directly on the walls of the same!

A very nice old man, a tailor by trade, welcomes us in his "laboratory" 40s, an elderly woman proudly shows us his crib in his living room! And 'this for me right spirit when you travel!

Back to "basic" know Lorraine, cheerful Vicenza (despite being a traffic warden urban joke!), On holiday alone here and it immediately became our "companion snacks!
