Once on the island of Saint Lucia to the port of Castries, the capital, with the ship Costa Atlantica. Do not do nearly time to land directly from the platform that takes a big catamaran to sail the waters opposite the west coast. Despite the volcanic black sands of this world the spectacle of nature and the lush mountains that seem to dive into the sea reminds us that although we are still different from other island in the Caribbean. We pass in front of colorful fishing villages first to spot ever more closely, the famous Pitons, two volcanic cones that delineate the majestic bay of the same name where you arrive. Here we return north, passing closer to the coast. The catamaran still in front at Anse Cochon where we go for a refreshing swim in the sea near the beach. Here we are greeted by boats features pastel colors where young rasta trying to sell large coral shells they used as deftly show us as a reminder sound. During the back to make a detour in Castries Marigot Bay, a marina surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation where it was filmed "Dr. Dolittle" with Rex Herrison. Back in Castries, along with Dorina and a pair known cruise, we took a modern minibus-taxi to get to know a little bit the inside of the island. Having driven the streets of downtown Beirut and the hills surrounding residential we headed across the street up and down in the rainforest. To reach the forest you go from Cul de Sac valley surrounded by banana plantations where the taxi driver informs us that the fruit of these plants is bound to Great Britain. As you leave the valley and climb into the forest vegetrazione becomes increasingly rich and varied, we note with pleasure mangoes, nutmeg, breadfruit, papaya, Avocado, coffee and cocoa. Below us valleys covered with banana trees and palms, the occasion is propitious to stop at the edge of the forest to open a coconut and drinking its nectar. Our taxi driver in the car is well stocked and has everything you need to be satisfied: the coconut, a large knife and reeds with which tasted delicious liquid. Return to the valley and then go back to a road that takes us to a point where we can admire from the bay of Marigot. Then return to Castries for embarkation.
