On the footsteps of the ancient Apostolic Sanctuaries in Azerbaijan, starting from Iran
This fascinating journey into western Persia takes place in the region of Azerbaijan where there are two monasteries, which are currently used for a museum in the Armenian style to which tradition attributes the foundation to the apostles Bartholomew and Jude Thaddeus. Starting from Tabriz, you can easily reach the monuments above day but it's worth stopping for a night to enjoy the charm of a country where ancient traditions still survive of the people arii. We recommend a visit to the great lake Orumieh, amazing salt lake that has a level of salinity of water equal to 300%, almost impossible to get to the bottom! Iran is a country hospitable and very cheap for a European tourist, orderly lifestyle, regulated by a highly formal, not exchanging the missing as the gossip. Never problems, only great hospitality and great curiosity in smaller centers by the population. During my stay I never had control by the police, no restriction of movement, one can say a quiet place. Do not recommend to travel during the warmer months (June-September) temperatures in some locations can reach 50 degrees. Those who wish to travel information, I write. MAX
